I'm the weird guy who kinda likes Firefly Funhouse Bray (when given more material to work with than cutting promos to himself this is the best character Bray has ever had) and hates the Fiend (annoying lights/music and impossible to suspend disbelief for with how unstoppable he is)

WWE went almost the entire show without acknowledging the Seth Rollins vs. Bray Wyatt match at Hell in a Cell. Near the end of the show, they aired a video package and quickly moved on. Neither guy was on the show, and they gave no update on their conditions. Becky Lynch was on the show and was never asked about Rollins either (obviously).

The inherent problem with Kofi is that he's not a main event level performer. No matter how you slice it, he's a solid worker but nothing inherently special and his career was basically a midcard act through and through. None of his individual singles title reigns were worth a damn and his best run was as part of a faction. So Kofimania was a great moment but had no long term staying power because Kofi simply isn't good enough, and the lackluster matches afterwards kind of prove that. Like storyline can be blamed on WWE but you can't blame them for getting him decent workers and having pretty lousy matches with them.

So it ending with such finality is much appreciated. Letting him hang around in a Lesnar vs Styles/Bryan/Balor style way would keep the untrue narrative up of "Kofi Kingston: Main Eventer" and I just don't really see the point. I'd rather New Day look now to elevate either Big E or Xavier to a similar run now that Kofi's gotten his golden watch, and not stretch out Kofi's main event run.

Nothing in wrestling has ever been as laughable as the Fiend stuff. Seth sat in the ring screaming is the hokiest thing I've ever seen. I don't know how you can claim anything about becky or anyone else on the show is at that level

I think there's an enormous gulf between becky's "gimmick" of throwing out zingers and being cool vs the fiend shutting off the lights and all the wrestlers making dumb faces and acting scared

Listening to the VOW podcast and they sum up the Bray thing perfectly - some of the people who are already fans may be in to this, but WHY would you put this on the first Fox episode you're hoping people watch because of The Rock? Any non fan who sees that is laughing their ass off and mocking this show to their friends tomorrow.

My take from smackdown is bray is entertaining in the funhouse segments but everything involving him in the mask in the arena is abjectly terrible and the antithesis of what I want from wrestling. Like Undertaker / Kane level bullshit but worse because nobody ever sat squealing in the ring after they were done.
