The first movie's poster was him stepping out of a car in all his armored glory. This is just a generic closeup. And what's with the discoloration on his helmet? Is that damage to his armor? Is that the shadow of a tree?

Oh, it's Robocop 2 (the Cain Robocop) reflecting off of his helmet. If that's what they were going for, the poster should've been a closeup of the helmet. And they still would've needed a better image of the Cain Robocop.

The big difference is that a new scene was shot specifically for the US version involving the US Navy blasting Godzilla with missiles. There's also a line of dialogue that was changed to refer to Mothra as "the Thing" in order to justify the new title, Godzilla vs. the Thing.

I haven't seen Justice League, but he was good in Man of Steel. Batman Versus Superman was such a train wreck, I didn't have time to focus on his performance.

It was a stupid, over the top moment that felt intentionally padded.

I think Indy's lack of involvement in the climax is intentional. Men fight over the Ark, but it's something infinitely beyond their control.

It was originally just going to be Belloq who got killed. At which point Indy would've escaped in a mine cart (moved to Temple of Doom) and then ended things in a fist fight with Col. Dietrich.

But, yeah, it was totally an intentional statement and not just something changed for budgetary reasons or the film running too long. <_<

About a decade ago, around Christmastime, I went through all live adaptations of Batman sans TV show. I watched the two film serials, the 1966 movie, the Burton/Schumacher film series, and the first two films of the Christopher Nolan trilogy. (The third one wasn't out yet.)

That's the last time I saw Batman & Robin. I kinda want to watch it again, but only as a filmmaking exercise. "What would you do if you could re-shoot 20 minutes of footage to try and salvage the film?"

I'm sure the idea's more fun on paper than it would be put into practice.

C'mon, he directed Falling Down and The Lost Boys. The dude's had some legit movies.

Joker's peers aren't movies where Captain America and Iron Man battle aliens and robots. Joker's peers are movies like Silence of the Lambs or No Country for Old Men. In terms of tone, content, and attention to detail, it's a completely different style of cinema.

I'm having trouble coming up with a single MCU film that was better. It's hard to really compare the two though. Joker wasn't really a "comic book movie" or "superhero movie." It was a movie about a sociopathic breakdown which just incidentally happened to tie into preexisting characters.

It'd be like if The Godfather was based on the character of the Penguin. It wouldn't be a Batman villain movie. It'd be a gangster movie still.

The hatred toward him is a bit unfair. His Batman movies were awful, but the studio wanted him to turn those films into toy advertisements.

40s - 50s fashion, cars and guns, combined with supercomputers and other technology 30 - 40 years ahead of that time period. I love it.

Yeah, that was pretty fun. It was mostly done as a grandfather clause to allow actual guns instead of the lasers found in other cartoons of the 90s. Since 40s Superman had guns, Batman could have guns from that era in his cartoon as well.

As a Christian, it's impossible for me to perceive Christ without taking it at face value that he is the literal Son of God and that he was here to bring salvation. In that regard, his appearance is inconsequential. He wasn't here to guarantee better places in Heaven for those who most look like him. Salvation is universal.
