Because that's proper finger positioning for touch typing, the fingers of your left hand on ASDF.

But thats for typing. Not gaming.

This. What works for typing does not necessarily work for gaming. For gaming, ring should be on A, index on D, and middle hovers between W and S. I thought that was how everyone had their fingers set for gaming...

Went to college from high school. Dropped out. Went back when I was 27. Went for my Masters at 32. Went back for the Doctorate at 40.

I have a friend who just finished her Doctorate at 55.

30 is still quite young.

I went through a similar thing. I went to college when I was 18 right after high school, but I ended up dropping out because I was too immature to take college seriously. I spent my 20s working dead end minimum wage jobs until I finally got fed up and went back to college when I was 30. I took college seriously then and graduated with a Bachelors in Accounting when I was 35. I then got my first real career job. Now I am turning 40 in a few months.

The only regret I have is wasting my 20s by doing nothing of any real value. It seems like real life didn't even start for me until I was 30 because that was when I finally got my act together. I imagine a lot of people go through something similar. College can be wasted on young teenagers who are too immature to take it seriously. College can be more appreciated when you're older and more mature. I saw a lot of 30+ year olds at my college, and I wondered how many actually went through something similar to me.

I toyed with the idea of an MCU marathon a while back, and did the math for what would be involved. At that point, it was ~36 hours of continuous movie-watching, and that was like a year or two ago.

I do an MCU marathon before the release of any Avengers movie. I plan to do it again before Endgame is released.

I don't do a marathon in the sense of watching them all non-stop though. That would just be crazy. My marathon is just watching one or two per day. At this point in time it takes about two weeks to get through them all when you watch one or two per day.

Also, is there any movie franchise that has more movies than James Bond? There are currently 24 James Bond movies, and the 25th is currently in production. Avengers Endgame will be the 22nd MCU movie. Spider-Man Far From Home will be the 23rd. The MCU will therefore pass James Bond in number of movies in 2020 or 2021.

It's literally been a thing since the first game, as I said. In the first game, after beating the first boss, you are on a ship and there is a QTE sex event with two women that is off screen. If you "beat" the sex event, you get a ton of orbs.

I don't see what is so bad about it though. A lot of movies, TV shows, and games with a setting in ancient Greece are sexualized. Have you ever seen 300 or the Starz Spartacus series?

I obviously wasn't going by the literal definition of child. I was speaking figuratively. A "manchild" is definitely a thing. NMB is a manchild. In other words, he's a grown adult who still acts and thinks like a child. His age and physical body may be that of an adult man, but in every other aspect he is still very much a child. Adults have adult responsibilities like holding down a job, and NMB has never had a job. He spends all day playing video games and watching cartoons, and that's what a child does. Until he starts acting like an adult with adult responsibilities, he will never fully be an adult.

In the general population, though, it's a good idea for many of the same reasons that a periodic physical is a good idea. Many serious eye problems (e.g. glaucoma, cataracts) display warning signs and can be treated well before they get bad, but catching them early takes the specialized knowledge of an optometrist.

I am surprised it took so long for someone to mention that. An eye exam is not just testing your vision. It is also testing for diseases and other problems as well. A lot of these things can be detected early and be stopped before they progress too far. That is the main reason why an annual eye exam is important.

Going to the eye doctor regularly is just as important as going to your family doctor and dentist regularly for checkups. One of the dumbest things you can do is to get a really bad disease that could have easily been prevented with regular checkups.

You ideally do want a refund as close to zero as possible. A refund means you paid too much taxes and you quite literally gave the government an interest free loan on your money. Why would you do that? You should invest the money yourself and make your own interest instead of giving it freely to the government.

People who see a refund as "free money" are honestly idiots who don't understand anything about taxes. It's not free money at all. It's money that you EARNED and you just gave it away for free to the government. The government is just giving it back to you.

I don't use an antenna myself, but I have researched the subject a bit back when I was looking to cut the cable cord. From what I have read, Mohu makes the best antennas.

Generally though, 50 miles is about the limit you will get with an indoor antenna. If you need a larger range, then you're probably going to need an outdoor antenna. (That's actually the reason why I never got an antenna since I live more than 50 miles from the closest towers, and I live in an apartment so I can't have an outdoor antenna.)

Different carriers with different plans, Captain Obvious.

The TC says he is on the 5 GB plan, but he doesn't say what carrier he uses. Some carriers are more expensive than others.

I personally use the Cricket 2 GB plan, and it is indeed only $30 per month. The Cricket 5 GB plan is $40 per month though, but 2 GB is plenty for my needs. Cricket also uses the AT&T tower network, so coverage is good. The catch as to why Cricket is cheaper is because your download speed is limited to 8 Mbps. Honestly though, unless you are downloading large files, 8 Mbps is plenty fast enough. Why would you be downloading large files on a phone anyway? Large downloads typically happen on a PC, not a phone.

If you want proof of Cricket's prices, just go to their website. Here are their plans and prices:

I don't think it chases you everywhere, and it was the same in the OG version. I believe it was the Claire B scenario that he showed up periodically.

The Tyrant was in both Leon B and Claire B. It also did not chase you through doors then. That was something Nemesis did in RE3. Tyrant in the remake is behaving more like Nemesis, and even then Nemesis would only chase you through a few rooms before disappearing. Tyrant seems to chase you nonstop in the remake.

Yeah, I remember the captain being insane, but he wouldn't be in charge of building a police station, so it still makes no sense. A police station is a government building. Why are aliens visiting Earth far fetched? Maybe they were just exploring and decided not to make their presence known to us. Especially if they were that much more advanced than us, it makes sense why they wouldn't want to make their presence known.

Heck, in the Star Trek lore, the Vulcans knew about human life on Earth, but they purposefully avoided contact with Earth until humans achieved space traveling capabilities. Also, Kirk inadvertently broke the Federation's directive of avoiding contact with primitive cultures in Star Trek: Into Darkness.

It makes sense that a very advanced and more peaceful alien civilization would want to avoid contact with a very primitive and very warlike Earth culture. I don't see that as far fetched at all.

Shamans, witch doctors, and the like never used "real magic." The so-called "magical" chemicals they use would just make a person high and experience hallucinations and stuff. It was just a drug, no different than modern drugs like crack and marijuana and stuff like that. Any so-called healing they could produce was just the placebo effect.

There's a documentary and some interviews on a guy whose family thought he was dead but he was kept as a slave by someone who kept him in a trance for years. It's not magic, no, but to say there isn't anything to it is denying some truth. Even in things that sound overblown and ridiculous there is often a kernel of truth somewhere.

Source for those interviews and documentary? There are plenty of drugs that can induce a trance-like state, and drugs can even put you in a coma. That doesn't mean there is anything magical about it. Using drugs to keep someone in a trance-like state for years is completely believable. Using magic and spells to do that same thing is 100% nonsense.

Can you read? I literally just said it wasn't magic. And before that I called it chemicals.

So then when what was the point of bringing it up when I was talking about shamans and witch doctors? It sounded like you were implying it was some magic voodoo hocus pocus.

I see where you could get that. I was only implying that some of the stuff witchdoctors do is based in reality and does have weird effects on people. Like the trance thing. If you didn't understand it, you might call it magic. Which is what I think some cases of 'magic' are.

Okay, yeah, shamans and witch doctors were basically just using drugs before the effects of the drugs were commonly known by the average person.

Native Americans smoked a "peace pipe" which was basically just marijuana. Is it therefore really any wonder that they hallucinated "spirit animals" and stuff when they were high on the wacky weed?

Source for those interviews and documentary? There are plenty of drugs that can induce a trance-like state, and drugs can even put you in a coma. That doesn't mean there is anything magical about it. Using drugs to keep someone in a trance-like state for years is completely believable. Using magic and spells to do that same thing is 100% nonsense.

Can you read? I literally just said it wasn't magic. And before that I called it chemicals.

So then when what was the point of bringing it up when I was talking about shamans and witch doctors? It sounded like you were implying it was some magic voodoo hocus pocus.

Jesus was a cleric/mage who used spells like Water Walk and Raise Dead. He got 1,000 XP for turning water to wine. Too bad he ran out of MP and had no mana potions when the Romans came for him. Game over!

Haitians have those voodoo folks that can turn people into a zombie state just using chemicals from plants.

You do know that the voodoo doll thing with the pins and needles is a product of Hollywood/pop culture and not an actual real thing, right?

Shamans, witch doctors, and the like never used "real magic." The so-called "magical" chemicals they use would just make a person high and experience hallucinations and stuff. It was just a drug, no different than modern drugs like crack and marijuana and stuff like that. Any so-called healing they could produce was just the placebo effect.
