It feels to me that it's less that he wanted the child but instead waned to keep her and now he has that child that he fought for and has some buyer's remorse. Ozai's feats are beating a child, being defenseless without his bending against said child (granted Zuko was a teenager now), and fighting while powered up to a great degree. If their is no comet to back him up I'll say Roy takes this handily. I dont remember if he has lightning but a flick of the fingers is faster than the motions needed for lightning bending.

Mew (the species) was speculated to be a genetic ancestor to modern pokemon. Lots has changed since then, most people prefer anime Mewtwo's origin over him being a genetically modified Mew infant/fetus can't recall which it was atm. Also we have to remember this was Gen 1 lore, you know how there are only 151 pokemon but whats that the region right next door has about 100 new mons never seen before somehow, you get where i'm going with this. Just chalk it up to Pokemon lasting longer as a series than they initially thought it was.

This is anecdotal but from what the old asian guy (mid 50s) I work with tells me when he was young his parents cut him off when started dating his would be wife because she was black, he was an only child but he says it wouldn't have been much different if he had a sister probably would've been even worse for her.
