The most basic example I can give you is when my Grandmother died when I was like 10, I was told by many male and some female family members that 'boys don't cry'. So I proceeded to listen to those dumbasses, and dealt with it in retrospect very poorly. I have since then called out the main ones I still deal with for the fucking stupidity of the entire debacle.
