The throw mechanic is insane easy too do and for the most part is what you will do.

The only exception is the super fast move crazy happy pokemon.

You will definitely want to switch to handheld too catch them.

So it's easy but it's not?

As someone who's actually played the game. Th new catching system sucks. You have to continuously recalibrate the joycon, the pokemon are constantly blocking the ball or dodging it, and you have zero influence on the RNG outside of berries.

I take it you have not figured out you can play it in handheld mode yet and not have to deal with it if you do not want too.

You realize your solution to "spamming X" is to instead spam A? Secondly it's only available in handheld mode which doesn't fix playing it docked, and it gives no excuse for excluding the pro controller.

It's actually harder to catch Pokmon and takes more time than battling and capturing does. You have zero influence on the RNG outside of berries, the joycon has to be recalibrated after every throw to make up for your arm movement, and the Pokmon can block and avoid the ball. On top of that the EXP share has given EXP to the whole party since XY. Let's Go's catching system is more of a hassle than it is a convince.

The story is a complete mess. It's after the events of RBY, but it's the same story as RBY. So Red and Blue still exist but the Let's Go trainer's do everything they did, but somehow Red and Blue still have their established back story even though you play as someone else and do what they did.

I'm glad this is Masuda's last game.

Trophies got replaced with an actual game mode.
Target smash has been ass since Brawl
Faster final smashes make the flow of the match better

Giving him a whole saga was strenuous, but a little bit of him here and there would have been interesting.

If it is offensive because it references a offensive game, then the entire reference should be removed. In Fire Attack, the characters aren't offensive because they have a feather, they are offensive because they are perpetrating a savage or enemy only stereotype. Removing the feather from the animation as a solution implies that the feather itself is offensive, and actually removes diversity from Game and Watch's design.
