My favorite teacher (well professor, actually) used a hands-on approach when teaching his students. Because we were a small Physics class, he let us solve Physics problems on the board in order to help learn the concepts. He was also a friendly guy.

I can't think of a least favorite (or I don't like speaking ill will of people....)
