Also Joker is a horrible character to put in Smash. Hes relevant now but when we are on Persona 6 or like 8 and Smash is like 2 games down the road and everyone is still in. We are going to look at it and go "what the hell are you still doing here". hes a one-shot character from a series with no connection. And the player characters always get replaced by new look player characters. Hes a third party Jigglypuff. No lasting power. I don't like it in the long game.

NES zappers only work on CRT TVs, so you're out of luck if you don't have one of those lying around.

Jigglypuff probably got added because it was easy to copy most of Kirby's A moves for it. They changed a bunch in Melee so they weren't direct copies, but they were in Smash 64. In fact, all of the unlockables except Ness in Smash 64 were easy copies of someone. (Captain Falcon just got the moves of the OC they made before it was a crossover.)

I feel like the Woo win parade started because there wasnt really anyone else it could have been. I seem to recall a lot of people scrambling for a winner pick after LJ was booted. Some went to Trish, but after she was gone, we all knew Kass couldnt win, no one thought Tony could actually pull it off, and Spencer didnt really have the winner edit.

Yeah, I think it was mostly this. Woo was the favorite by default. In fact, I'm pretty sure the Edgic chart had Woo -> Spencer -> Kass, with Tony being left off entirely.
