what would make it fun? it seems to me if you don't believe it, it is really just burning money to see how easy you are to read. If you do believe it, doesn't seem like "fun" would be the right word.

That is why you shouldn't. You admit it isn't worth it and are doing it just to do it. Instead of spending 150 on a meal, I could spend 20 and then use the rest for a concert or two or something else that's fun.

Depends on your income level. Once you are well-off, denying yourself pleasures because you are still hung up on what the price *used* to mean to you is unfortunate and will prevent you from being able to fully enjoy your wealth.

Not spending an absurd amount on food is not denying yourself pleasures. Spend a reasonable amount on food and go do some fun things instead. The purpose of having wealth is to not have to work later on in life, anything else is meaningless.
