He's so ridiculous and hypocritical that I can understand why someone might think it's an act. But if he's pretending to be this way, then he has to be the most brilliant troll to have ever existed, the kind who would stay in character even though it's killing his business and driving away his fans. He claims over and over again that he doesn't know what he's doing, yet everyone who is beating him is somehow playing the game wrong. This has always annoyed me with his complaints about Street Fight, too, that the people beating him are terrible because they are not using the tactics he understands and approves of. If only they didn't adapt to online play and stopped using effective strategies, then they would be good players just like he is.

I know nothing about Ninja beyond the fact that he's a popular and successful Fortnite player. Phil has no reason to insult him and only does so out of jealousy (as he does with PewDiePie). I guarantee if Ninja had insulted Phil for no reason, Phil would have lost his shit, ranted on prestream for an hour, and probably got in contact with someone at Twitch.

Sounds like a number of people were pissed off that he didn't play Stardew Valley. I don't understand why he has his Patrons vote on games if he's just going to play what he wants anyway. He hates everything he plays, so just bite the bullet and play the games that were voted in. There's no benefit in angering the people that support him on Patreon, yet he does it anyway.

A lot of things have been exaggerated for the sake of comedy, but the basic ideas behind the show are fairly realistic. It's one of my all-time favorites.

So when I was watching hours earlier, the tips were up to a little over $100, most of that from a single $60 tip. The last time I checked, the total was at $117. Add in cheers and subs and he made more than a usual day of streaming, but I think he was expecting a larger haul. But why should anyone give him extra? The indies marathon was a sub goal, so he had already been paid to do it. And he didn't even play at least one of the games his Patrons had voted for.

I'm sure he'll get enough to keep going. In fact, not getting a huge amount benefits him in the long-term because he can keep begging all through the spring while he complains about how the holiday support was less than he expected.

I mean, what would he actually do if someone gave him the full 16k? Drop the holiday begging streams and take some extra days off? And then when he got back he could spend a portion of each stream reminding us that the 16k will pay his taxes, but he still needs our continued support to pay his monthly bills.

There are loopholes. I don't remember exactly, but I think you can get around it by not expressly calling it a fundraiser. It basically amounts to still being allowed to blatantly beg so long as you don't use certain words or terms that Twitch doesn't like.

I would imagine that most streamers actually enjoy the games they play (which in Phil's eyes is being a shill) and aren't just plowing through them to get them done. When's the last time he played a game he loved? DQXI is probably the only current games he's consistently enjoying, and he still rages and starts in with the "this is fucking stupid" stuff whenever it gets difficult.

He wants to finish games as fast as he can so that he can move on to the next ones. His entire "career" has been about quantity over quality, which is the opposite of what any decent streamer should be doing. It's a chore to finish the games because they get harder towards the end, and by that point he hasn't learned how to play them and just wants them to be over.

I imagine a lot of his fans take home less than a quarter of what he makes in a year, and they obviously have to pay taxes on that. Yet they are expected to pay his taxes because he can't be bothered to save any of the money he makes. He's too good to shop at Walmart, he wouldn't dare sell the huge house he can't afford (or the condo he doesn't use), but keep sending him your money.

Some time off from streaming might be the best thing for him, even if it was forced on him by the weather. Money issues aside, he needs to take a break. He hates playing games and interacting with people, and you can see that every second he's streaming. As much as I like to suggest ways he could improve his stream, none of it matters if he comes across as someone who would rather be doing anything else. I know he's always saying how much he loves his "job," but any viewer with half a brain can see that isn't the case.
