Another big trend, streaming. League was associated closely with both. I feel like on Board 8 people like "traditional" games without those 2 factors. --- Raytan wins! |

For me, even though it was released in 2009, it has to be League of Legends. It has had the greatest impact on the decade, was the most influential. Really was the game that thrust esports into the mainstream, you even see Esports ads and highlights on ESPN now. 1) League of Legends 2) Overwatch 3) Grand Theft Auto 5 4) Undertale 5) Pokemon Go I think this is what I would go with. Games not in the poll(was limited to 10) that I would include are: The Witcher 3 Super Mario Galaxy 2 Journey Dark Souls The Last of Us Hearthstone Dota 2 Xenoblade Chronicles Persona 5 --- Raytan wins! |

It's the only way to do decent(but not win) at these contests, researching everything, looking up the stats, going back into the archives. All of it likely leads to a top 20th percentile bracket but not top 5%. Somewhere in between top 20th percentile and top 5th percentile. You end up with a good but not great bracket. So was all that time researching and looking up stats and topics worth it? How do you have time to be on a board like this in 2018 --- Raytan wins! |
