I bought this at release.

Good game, but can't really overstate just how much it's more of the same from VC1. I realize that seems like a blessing to longtime suffering VC1 fans (like myself) having had to sit through 3 fake games, but really it's a bit extreme in it's sameness. Felt like it could have come out as a Red version to VC1's Blue version.

it's samey for sure, but the tweaks that are there make it undoubtedly the better game imo

Meh. Switch version is really poor. Ive put 50 hours into the Xbox version and unless someone wants to play this entirely handheld I suggest getting it on console. Docked the switch version runs poorly and runs at sub 720.

ive been playing handheld only, and while it's obviously not 60fps 1080p, it's a more than solid port.

plus, being portable is great for this game.

but i mean, yeah, get this game on whatever platform you prefer

If the game demands you to catch Pokemon as your proceed, perhaps the rules need to be changed. Maybe you can catch all you want, but you can only actively USE the first/closest Pokemon you see per route/dungeon. Would that make sense?

as someone who stopped paying attention to the games after bw2, im enjoying it a lot.

it's the perfect, chill return to kanto. and people acting like the main quest in most pokemon games aren't laughably easy need to chill. this is definitely a little easier than those (so far,I've only just beaten misty), but you can keep yourself relatively in check by not chain catching a ton of pokemon and by limiting use of your partner pokemon (they still travel on your shoulder).

A 30ish% discount on digital currency is pretty damn rare, so stock up!

Needs to be a new account, one order per account, but you can easily make plenty.

some orders are randomly canceled, it's not exactly clear why. i had an order with paypal canceled immediately, but a different order with the same account worked no problem. CC has worked for me no issue, but others are reporting cancelations here and there.

I bought the first game on ps3 and then ps4 but never got around to playing much of it. I love the art style and the gameplay too I just always seemed to drop off.

This is a great deal but I'm thinking of just buying the first one (for the 3rd time!) on Switch instead for now because its more likely I'll actually play through it on there.
