This topic reminds me of that teenager several years back in the 2004-2007 range that had CP on the computer. Claimed it was someone online who installed it from somewhere else online. So the family got rid of the computer(was the home computer) and said they'll never use a computer or the internet again due to how it destroyed their family.

This also just reminded me of when I was in the 13-15 year old range we'd go to this one neighbor to hang out. His dad got charged with having CP a few years later. Hmmm... oh well.

The train should be held accountable and serve maximum rail time.

Several tons, wheels shaped like giant pizza cutters with pinpoint pressure against another metal... why the hell would you go under it without serious reasons. If he was trying to hide from trouble then it's plausibly understandable if not questionable. If he was doing it to mess around or check things out just because, then I have no sympathy. It still sucks to lose natural mobility like that, but c'mon...

Trains and train cars are long, usually longer than 2-2.5 sedans long. The wheels are large and there's shadows. Multiply that by around 50-100 and that's a lot of hiding spots. The comments about checking wheel wells is right. I try to see if I see anything out of place, but I don't always check up under the engine bay, inside the wheels, between the brakes and hub. Even if I did, something can crawl into place at any moment while getting in or at a stop sign. Truck drivers are required to do a pre-trip inspection every day to check every nook for wear and tear. I'm sure conductors/engineers do the same, but you can't catch everything especially if it can move in on its own.

That said I did notice an odd trend/pattern. Gen 1 charmander originally, then bulbasaur. 2 Cyndaquil originally, then Chikorita. 3 Torchic, never restarted/returned since there wasn't a remake or reason to at the time. 4 Turtwig. 5 That snek thing.

Yes, the sight of a gun doesn't bother me. It's the moron wielding it that does. If it's in a holster or left alone I'm 100% fine with it, but once they start handling it or pointing it in any direction I get a bit itchy.

Even if I know the person or they're trained. Had a cousin roughly 1 year younger than me once pick up his uncle's 1911 and aim it at stuff in the house. I asked to see it, so I eject a full mag and clear the round from the chamber. So that was cool, playing with a fully loaded unsafed handgun and he didn't even know how to check or handle it.

*sighs* People should really learn the basics.

Adding to the above, walmart or a mall is more likely to have someone with a ccw, hell there's even gun/sporting stores in the area that could have one unlocked and loaded if so needed.

As for bullying, it's far more satisfying and thus driving to shoot down your peers and those that caused you grief. If you're at the point of shooting your school up you're probably wanting to destroy those that caused it to get revenge or remove your problem. Random strangers shopping for good deals that have zero connection to your strife just isn't the same.

I'm not saying blowing your classmates away will solve things, if anything it only makes things worse. Now you've sealed your fate and can't move on over time and let them get shafted down the road by something like a hurricane.

Depends on what and where they are. Usually I give the slight talk to when it's a jumper or those tiny house spiders that only grow to be about 2-3 mm in diameter max. I tend to let them be because they don't really do anything harmful.

Brown recluses have to go, and I know I've gotten a few that might not have been and just a poorly colored/placed wolf spider.

When I was younger there was a massive outbreak of golden orb weavers. You could literally stand and look in a direction to see 10-15 females with 2-4 foot webs. I being the only brave one to go near em commited genocide and killed easily 100 or more. They're still around, but not as many or intrusive. I try to atone for it and I didn't do it because I hate spiders... it's more like we can't be having giant strong webs on everyone's front and back door and 10-20 in each yard. It'd also be just as wrong to relocate them to someone's yard down the street, because that's how some species get spread... like crazy ants *shudders*

Based on the body lines it looks like a 75-90 mercedes, the exact model eludes me because even I dislike their naming system at times. It's either truncated due to the lens style such as a fisheye lens causing distortion, or motion/border. If you look at the house itself you can clearly see distortion.

I also wouldn't put it past them that it's actually like that. There used to be, and probably still is, a VW minibus someone chopped and made roughly half as long. It's about as long as it is wide and totally destroyed the original purpose, but damn it's an eye catcher.

The closest I can get is a 1980~ Mercedes SL coupe. Either it was butchered or it's just in the weird spot of the lens/pictures. For further narrowing down it's closer to 75-80. Alas that's the furthest I can go because there's no telling what powerplant it has.

I'd say wear it if you want. The only concern I'd have is if someone's a potential thief and accidental scrapes. Reminds me of someone who had a 30-40 dollar watch and it was alright, but got really offended/mad at me when they walked past me too close and caught their watch face on the side of my pants causing them to freak out that I messed it up. I was literally just standing there focused elsewhere. Acted like I keyed their car or something.

I'd be pretty miffed if a pricey watch got trashed by something randomly small. Had a digital watch become unusable because some nitromethane splashed on the face of it, ate away the finish completely.

You could just not wear it every single day I guess, but downside there is they might start commenting/noticing when you do actually wear it. On the other hand if you're not wearing it or using it to tell time... what's the point of it. It's meant to be worn and tell time, not sit in a drawer to rot forever. If it was one of them fancy art watches I could justify stowing it away for safety, but based on a brief google search it doesn't seem to be one of those.

Suppose it also depends on what you're driving, but if the vehicle is suitable and you're comfortable with it then just don't think about the distance. Just means you have to do it a bit longer. The only real problem is mechanical issues or getting lost, but if you have gps or navigational sense you should be ok so long as you can avoid plowing into debris or some other car.

To those saying driving x distance is fine. I remember some years back I borrowed one of my grandparents' cars. I drove it about 5-6 miles and was near terrified the whole time. Because it had zero roadfeel and the steering had a good 5 inches of play before inputting left/right. Hitting just 45mph in that thing felt like I was doing 60+ with an uplift wind and without a steering wheel. A literal incarnate of those dreams where you want to do something, but feel disconnected/weak.

The thing was totaled a few years ago, not by me but at least no one else has to suffer it.

Say what you will about that plumber's crack liquid plumber/draino commercial, it's not as bad as some of the medical stuff. My older relatives will sit lamenting about the bit of ass cleavage and how nasty and distasteful it is. Ok, it could have been better... but at least it's not someone's fungus crusty foot with notable issues just distorted across the screen out of nowhere while you're trying to eat. Then there's the ones that go on and on about medical issues that could arise like severe bloody diarrhea and such.

Other than the plastic on the outside cover, there's nothing bad for the environment in alkaline batteries.

Maybe not, but there's still more logistics involved with production, transit, and taking up space as they end up somewhere. Probably balances out somewhere vs lithium ion. I don't consume them as much as I used to for various reasons, but it wasn't difficult at one point to go through a pack in about 3-4 weeks, which puts it at 260-340 a year. Since things vary over time I'll ignore a potential 40 or so because I feel even that's excessive. So being lazy/generous that'd be almost 1300-1500 over 5 years, probably more like 1000-1200 tops. Or I could just get rechargables twice(to rotate) and suck down the power periodically.

The real horror story is when you do math on the costs over time. Either way you look at it, it's not exactly helping.

On the other hand a trickle charger can malfunction and you get a failed battery leading to fire/combustion, but any battery can fail. Which is why when I was fiddling with a UPS I had a moment of "..." when someone got onto me about "That ain't one of those batteries that set fire is it" when the whole galaxy thing was going on.

I'm doing my part to destroy the environment by 'chain smoking' AA's. Ofcourse I don't actually put them in my mouth or light them on fire, but I'm sure if I were to do so it'd be a blast.

Suck the life out of two, then swap em out for the next pair of victims. Then right into the garbage the depleteds go as I ignore the image of the crossed out garbage can, because I'm not driving to Lowe's or whoever deals with them with a mountain of battery corpses.

You can also alternatively use a usb to micro usb cable if you wish. I've not tested whether it'll work by powering the controller from another source and using the wireless signal to connect. It'd probably work, but jamming the cable in there might also reduce what little lag lingers.

The previous comments remind me of when some were complaining about the nintendo DS and its internal battery. Some going on to say they were getting third party battery replacements because the official one was far too expensive. I believe at the time the difference was around 3 or 4 usd savings, with the nintendo one being 15ish dollars. Oh boy, what a bargain, voiding any repair/warranty on a DS for 3 whole dollars using something that might damage it. I'd at least understand store purchase vs online order plus waiting.

XD

Seriously though: My personal preference is for anthros to have the non-human equipment, but it's perfectly acceptable either way. Ferals should always have the non-human equipment because the whole point of ferals is that they're 100% the way the animal looks IRL, just sentient and able to communicate through human languages.

I'm not a fan of human junk on an anthro either, but at least it makes more sense. You're making them humanoid enough that some trade offs can be tolerated such as feet/paws. Prefer digitigrade myself, but hey.

Think my favorites are when it's a fairly accurate non-anthro and they have an uncircumsized human bit and the animal sheath. Like, c'mon... that's where you draw the line? >:|

I'm also gonna probably agree with that comment on it being more common. I've seen loads of well done female furs, but there's so many varied males you can't help but like em too so the line tends to blur and tickle some triggers. Plus, it's one of the few ways to have a double dong and it be "ok" compared to some of the creations.

Depending on what it is you can actually cook out/remove the benefit to something. For example garlic is best raw or lightly cooked. If it's cooked too much it doesn't provide its health benefit, just some flavor.

Which reminds me of the first time I finally tried a bit of raw garlic. If you haven't done it yet I warn you if you try a raw piece of it by itself. I honestly thought I messed up somewhere... was a great night/day and a learning experience. I assume it wasn't an allergic reaction, because I'd probably be dead from it, but didn't expect such a numbing sting.

As for other examples, many stick ranch dip on their celery, broccoli, carrots, etc which negates the calories they saved. Even salads are guilty of this when they add so much cheese/dressing/meat.

I can and have eaten raw, steamed, mixed with something else, stir fried, roasted, boiled, etc. I'm just saying that if you're a kid and forced to eat raw broccoli or something you don't like, chances are you're gonna associate all veggies as bland/terrible and not want anything to do with them. I even ate the various forms when younger, but it still took me a bit to come around to some such as a broccoli. I used to hate it, but steam it or mix in some melted cheese with steamed, possibly other forms I'll inhale it. Used to eat raw carrots, but don't care for them now. Tastes/viewpoints change.

I can't say much on those that only eat steamed or nothing, but it's probably how the parents like them or finally got the kids to eat em.

Usually because it's raw and that's unappealing. It needs something, or perhaps just age, to help.

If it's seasoned, steamed, or mixed with something like cheese for broccoli or ranch and raw it's usually fine. Downside is you now get calories from the cheese and ranch dip. I blame the fact they get forced to eat the most unappealing form of it, and it becomes what they associate with all of it. I used to dislike veggies, but once I got into my teens it became tolerable/fine, such as broccoli and cheese, steamed/cooked whatever, mashed potatos mixed with corn off the cob so that you can use it as a bonding agent. There's healthier forms I've grown accustom to, but it took time to get past the barrier.

I think it's because they're given flavorless unloved generic stuff and think all of it's bad. Haven't come around yet. Bet there was a vegetable you weren't thrilled with, so imagine associating that with all of em due to bad experiences.

Usually when you dump 20-30k into a car you're lucky to get 2-6k out of it when selling. This assumes it's just a generic "haul my ass" wagon.

Krystal fox vs James from SH2.

Well, I guess it could be worse... She'll probably get past him, but at least it'll be a potentially soft and fluffy death.

Wouldn't that be the labia, not vulva?

Though this does remind me of a decent photoshop from several years back, it was an arby's bun with the real deal edited in. It took me way too long to realize "oh! oh..."

i still have no idea what the hell is in a controller that needs updating

Firmware.

but... why does that need updating

To enable use of the chat adapter in the old controller(probably newer design too), that one that allowed 3.5mm to mount into the usb thingy at the bottom. Enables the use of third party headsets. Allows the ability to use the button remapping feature on the dashboard/devices.

Might be something else. Those are all touched upon/enabled by a controller firmware update.

There's been a few system updates in the last month or so, can't exactly comment on games/apps, but do know I've experienced a few suprises.

"I'll just update this game for the sake of doing it so I don't have to later, shouldn't take long" 48 gigs later... ugh. I rode it out though, but your mileage will vary based on how many games and which.

I haven't had a knob/dial since around, 2003? Maybe even 04 and that was a keyboard from 2000. Seen plenty of button press ones, even current one has it and it'll go up/down by 2%. I really love its placement on this keyboard because it's easy to accidentally do if you get too frisky.

Iron, because it has its own damn handle unlike the uncultured others that allow others to grope them freely.

Shame it was replaced, but I guess having access to an older box allows it to carry over.
