Also the post is worded poorly, seems you don't lose money for turning off ads. Instead they'll give you bonus money for keeping ads on. To be fair though, that was through spirit mode where I only have 5,none of which I'm any good with really. Being able to choose Pit or Link made it easier. Persona 1 and 2 were remade for the PSP and thus accessible through the vita as well btw. And yes, the vita can do ps1 classics. I also heard that SMT Devil's Summoner is really awesome too. Og persona 3 didn't age well imo. You can't control your party members in it. I'd honestly recommend getting a vita to play the PSP version instead and persona 4 golden.
