Ah, back when animation was animation and an actual talent.

Awesome show but that non ending. To this day there isn't a fuck up that big in any other show.
To draw a modern parallel. Imagine Infinity War 2 coming out in April and all it is, the big finale to the whole damn thing is nothing but Stark going on a journey of self discovery in his own mind where he relives his teen years. And then it just ends. What happened to literally everything and everyone going on in the plot? Who knows. It's over.
That's what it felt like experiencing that ending the first time. That level of a gut punch. And it's still a raw irritation all these years later. Knowing there will never be a proper ending.

He was utterly useless as a functional party member. He was always like 4 hours of development behind everyone else.
Through the base story my party was always Yuna, Lulu, Auron most of the time. Once I'm in late game and everyone starts learning everything and basically become gods then I switched Auron out for Rikku. Wakka and Tidus for only enemy/boss specific needs up to a point. Because by end game even Lulu is hitting high evasion and high defense enemies for 99999 damage with her base attacks.

Being Catholic. It's very simple. But unfortunately people are either too stupid and like to shoot their mouths off about the Catholic belief or they're just plain wrong/ignorant about it and that includes some fuck head priests in addition to many within the Catholic faith.

There is nothing wrong with being gay. That's how god made you.
End of story.

The part that's the "sin" of it all is the same thing that's a "sin" for heterosexuals in the church. You're not suppose to act on it. i.e. no sex.
Yes that's unrealistic and stupid. But that's a whole other subject. Being gay isn't a sin in the Catholic faith. And anyone who ever tells you otherwise is an uninformed and ignorant jackass.

I'm usually the host. Gotta talk with everyone. Eventually if my brothers don't have their faces buried in their phones I will talk with them. If not I'll stay in the front room and talk with whoever. Mother, aunts, family friends.

When I'm not the host and we're at non-family homes I usually get sucked into being with the other men which are always people I don't know which is always ugh. I don't talk about the crap they do. If they're not talking about pot then it's booze. if not booze then women. If not women then cars. And I don't give a shit about any of that. Well booze yes but they're always talking beer which gross.
A month ago I got sucked into that situation due to a friend on top of keeping an eye on my underage brother who they wanted to get to drink with them. Ended up smoking a cigar and having a beer and a shot. That was probably the most "man" thing I've ever done and I gotta say I did not like it. Awkward as hell.

I can only tell you what happening right now with my younger brother who found an online woman.
He's always been but now at 29 gone full desperate crazy. He's "not complete" until he has a woman and a family he's always said. Well he found a like minded woman. Both are desperate to be hitched by 30.
Found her online using some site, god only knows which in September. September 2018. Starts dating her and in less than a week he's invited her over for Thanksgiving with the family. God how I'm dreading tomorrow. And I'm hosting at my house.

What kind of girl is she you may ask? In the few times she's been over. Large, first generation, loud, rude, pushy, argumentative, foul mouth. Thinks she's cute as she dresses like a 9 year old would in Harry Potter print clothes or just dumpy too large tee shirts. Sits around and then falls asleep at the table or sofa, whichever she's sitting at. Uses my idiot brother as her personal ATM. Plans his days out for him. This *redacted* can't even respond when told "hello" by my other brother. She's just a true b in the truest sense of that word. Terrible person. Now she's showing up and doing chores like the dishes at my mom's house. And it's like Red Alert! Danger! Danger! You know what that is. She has her eyes set on moving in with him in my mom's house. That's what that is. Not being nice or anything. There's been stories exactly like this one playing out right now that have happened to other idiot men in my extended family. Some fresh from or not far removed from the third world girl comes out of nowhere, gets her hooks in the guy and then immediately sets her sights on the family home.
And a couple of those times these hussies have gotten in there because the mother is spineless and folds for whatever sob story they concoct. And all the family pays the price with the living hell they turned the home life into. Both of those occasions it took the mother having to go through legale avenues to evict her and their own sons. It's ugly. And damnit if it doesn't look like this is where this scenario is headed.

My condolences. I've been there. I never know quite what advice to give. It always just sounds so heartless and clinical when I type it.
Say what you need to say to him. Even if he slips into a coma which is what happened to my dad eventually. Sit with him. Talk to him. Even if he doesn't respond. If he's awake ask him anything you feel like you need to ask him.

Are they sending him home, a facility or keeping him? If there's nothing left they can do be prepared the hospital may want to get him out of there. Dealt with that.
Know that on top of all that's happening to him in that environment there's a high chance he gets pneumonia and that ends up getting him before anything else. Dealt with that one too.

If he slips into a coma because they often do as the body is shutting down in the hours/days preceding death then just stay. I always heard it growing up and then experienced it myself eventually twice. It may sound odd. But you'll know before the doctors do when the time is getting close when their breathing changes in the hours before. It becomes shallow. You'll notice it.
If it goes the other way and he's lucid and awake all the way to the end then just brace yourself. It could be still peaceful but other times some people don't go peacefully.
Just stay strong. You'll be surprised what you can take. If anything that's the one thing I found out about myself going through his exact thing. You think you'll fall apart and not be able to handle it. But somehow you do, you will. You'll fall apart later.

I'm sorry if all that reads poorly or negatively. But that's the best advice I can think of having gone through it.

I do know that ones like mine can't be built anymore. In fact I think you have to upgrade them to some shitty insert thing if you plan on selling here in CA.
There's some air quality control board that exists here that made a law, of which I and others highly question the legitimacy of since they're some nebulous, non voted for, "governmental" entity that has no connection to Sacramento yet has the power to pass a law. Which declares certain days "no burn days" where even if you have an old fireplace it's illegal to use it.

Old houses are the real deal. They're sturdy. They're frames are usually made from amazing materials. Creosote timbers as the foundation. Come to find out when I had it re-roofed 7 years ago that the actual roof was made out of hard wood. The actual hard wood floor type. God only knows why but the contractor was stunned. Above and way beyond what is necessary for roofs. Near perfect condition still.

Oh yeah. I inherited my childhood mid 50s home. And I know I'll never sell it because the upgrades it would need to try and sell it would be nearly as much as buying a new home. It's like the damn Winchester House. Built in sections from the 50s through the 80s. Most without permits. In the mexican barrio part of town.
So I'll upgrade it little by little for me over the years but at that point I'll be old and it'll have been made what I want so I'll stay in it until I'm dead. After that it'll be my youngest brother's problem.

I don't look at it as a burden. Complete opposite. It's my lifelong home. I don't really care that it is where it is. It's mine and I continue to make it ever more so mine. Just finished a bathroom remodel. And I wouldn't buy a modern track home even if I could afford it.

Stop people from building houses in the areas they do.
Stop trying to prevent and fight every fire that pops up. Especially ones that pose no threat to homes or people.
Cut down dead trees afflicted with the bark beetle, environmentalists and endangered species be damned.

Because forests need to grow old and burn. It's a part of a forests' life cycle. Burning up clears the ground, allows sun to shine on the forest floor and makes the seeds disperse so the forests can start over. I mean damn, this is basic stuff. As a kid the Disney channel use to air little info-tainment pieces from the 50s-60s and one of them was specifically about forest lifecycles and how fire is necessary.
Because stopping all fires makes dead growth build up. It stagnates the underbrush so it dies too. It turns massive areas of forest into nothing but kindling. Decades of built up fire wood. A firestorm waiting to happen. And when it inevitably happens. The houses that were built where they shouldn't have been all burn anyway. The animals the rabid hippies tried to save the habitat of all die anyway. The habitats all burn anyway.
It's ridiculous.
And none of this has anything to do with climate change like some idiots claim it does.

Because they've put all their eggs in the "The future of America is non whites." basket. So white people have become the enemy to them.
Keep people uneducated and dumb as hell. Common core to liberal colleges.
Keep them as dependent on government aid for life. Welfare in all it's many forms.
Keep giving them as many freebies as possible. From phones to free college.
And you want as many of these non white, easily manipulatable people as possible so that's why they're all for illegals and refugees coming in.
You do those things and you have lifelong democrat voters who are dependent on you and too uneducated to know they're being used.

None of this stuff is for the overall good of people. None of it is toward some altruistic goal.
It's all about control. And there's no easier way to do that than to keep people dumb and reliant on you.

I never even heard of this until a few months ago. I mean I'm in my mid 30s and it took me this long to find out this was a thing.

Seems dumb as all hell to be honest.

Can't say I've ever really noticed that about Sprite. And I don't think I've seen a 7Up ad since they use to use the "Cool Spot" character back in the 90s. But 7up is the stomach ache "I feel sick" drink as far as I'm concerned.

I have noticed that Crown Royale is definitely marketed toward blacks in their ads. Of which there seems to be a lot more of airing these days.

I like it way better than BB. BB was boring as hell in the beginning. Even towards the end other than just action happening I never really cared about the characters. They were shitty people but nothing beyond that. Saul is shitty but he's like an antihero. He's likable. All the main characters in BB I just wanted to die.

BCS is difficult to describe. It's slow. I mean it's really really slow moving. But it's great. The writing is so good. Just seeing the characters going about their lives is so interesting. It's like the best boring yet interesting show I've ever seen.

It's like this. In BB Walt is introduced, we're shown he's in a bad place, then he gets the cancer news, then he finds Jesse, decides to make meth and have an action scene all in the pilot. All that in 1 episode.
The way BCS operates. Walt being introduced and shown he's in a bad spot in life would have taken 2 episodes alone. Him deciding that maybe making meth to make money would have been something he arrived at in the final scene of the first season. 10 episodes in.
BCS is so slow but precise. It knows how to build situations and it's characters.

On it's own or with rum. The canned (now boxed) Borden brand is to die for.
Or I just buy the Pennsylvania Dutch bottle with the booze already added from Costco.

Beyond that the only good use I've found for it is to make french toast with. Pour some in a pie tin and quickly dredge some sliced bread in it. Then fry it in butter. Soooo good.

Growing up. Grandfather and aunts were democrats. Mother was independent. Step father republican.
CA hispanics except step father.
Then the 2000s to now happened.

Grandfather right before his death, one aunt and mom became republicans. The other aunt became independent. Two of my brothers and myself are republicans. One other brother is independent.

Well SCOTUS just heard a case about it a few weeks ago. So best case scenario (imho) is they deem affirmative action unconstitutional across the board next summer. It's possible now that it's a conservative court.

in fact. i knew I remembered that user.

rural america and their apologists are far more hateful than anyone else. they just love to project.

And your point is? Build on top of a tinder box and below a hill and I'm suppose to have compassion for your dumb ass when the inevitable happens?
