Leather doesn't come from beef cattle. The hides from animals slaughtered for their flesh are already used up for other things. They breed and kill separate animals just for leather.

Yes and that's not new information either. But if you're concerned about the environment, you should really consider giving up animal products all together. At the very least, reducing your consumption of animal products has more impact than driving or not driving.

The animal cracker thing had to do with the pictures on the box. The issue that some people had was that it depicted animals stuck in cages. All that they were asking for was a new image on the box and they provided alternative art. Animal crackers are vegan and I like having them as a snack sometimes

Almond milk uses too much water to produce.

It uses less than dairy does

By far

There's also oat milk, coconut milk, soy milk, rice milk, pea milk... Don't have to use almonds to ditch dairy. Plenty of very ecologically friendly options.

https://www.truthordrought.com/almond-milk-myths/

Remember, a vegan diet saves 600 gallons of water per day compared to the average meat-eater, per National Geographic almonds and all.

In conclusion, if you'd rather skip the almonds or go light on them, by all means, go ahead. A variety of different nuts, as well as plant-based milks and products like cheese and ice cream are available. But vilifying almonds and almond milk while letting dairy and other animal agriculture off the hook is nonsensical.

As far as drought and migrant work is concerned, dairy is far worse.

Vegan has an actual culinary definition meaning free of animal products. How the animals lived or died is irrelevant. No cattle milk is vegan

Not all vegetarians eat dairy. Nor do all vegetarians eat eggs. Eggs are not considered vegetarian in Indian, for example.

I didn't imply my time, or anyone's, is worth more than the world...

Im a libertarian, I don't think governments should do more than what is listed in the constitution (I know it only applies to America, but I would argue that it would improve many places, but that's for another discussion) and taking away cars isn't in there, saving the world isn't in there

I would argue governments are incapable of saving the world from climate change, or anything else and it's more up to scientists to find a solution (whether it's greener cars or something else entirely)

Where does the government come into this exactly? No one talked about banning cars. Public transit is something the majority of America supports.

The biggest offenders are not individual citizens, they are large industrial entities that need more oversight. They're deferring the environmental costs of doing business to everyone else

Individuals do need to take action. Everyone does. And if that means getting somewhere a little slower on someone else's schedule at times, that's life. What a minor sacrifice
