Vertania 07/26/18 1:33:10 AM #12 | CableZL posted... I can't fucking stand local news. You could be laughing your ass off, having a great time watching your favorite TV show at like 6PM. Then they cut to commercial and the local news interjects, "7 people stabbed in a neighborhood near you and the suspect is on the loose. More at 11." That's quite literally true, in my case. There were at least 5 shootings on my block last year. Hell, within 3 days of bringing my newborn home from the hospital, her mom flopped off of the couch - baby in hand - and ducked to the floor after hearing gunshots outside the window. Ended up having my block shut down twice that week :/ |

Vertania 07/26/18 1:26:53 AM #9 | I watch the local news once in a while, but even that is fucking depressing. Can't turn it on without hearing about a kids dying or babies being thrown in trash cans (yes, that actually fucking happened here). |

Vertania 07/26/18 12:38:48 AM #44 | shockthemonkey posted... So youll say nothing but try to lend credibility to Pizzagate as a whole. Dont be surprised when people label you a Pizzagater or conspiracy theorist, though. The problem I have is that the term "Pizzagate" is forever tied to the idea of "Hillary banging kids in a pizza place's non-existent basement." When people show up in a topic to point out that they have me tagged as a Pizzagater, they're doing it for the sole purpose of making people think I buy into the whole "Hillary Pizza Sex" thing. They're doing it to make me look ridiculous and discredit whatever input I have on a completely unrelated topic. I don't care if people want to label me as a conspiracy theorist (even though I've explicitly said multiple times that I don't 100% believe these ideas), but to repeatedly label me as a "pizzagater" is entirely disingenuous and they're doing it for a very specific reason. Topic | What happened to pizzagate and why did Hillary walk away free? |
Vertania 07/25/18 10:15:33 PM #41 | Okay, @shockthemonkey, I'll be a little more specific. The one thing I'm confident in saying is that the whole Comet Ping Pong thing was used as an easy scapegoat. Regardless of what was really going on, it gave those involved an easy out, being able to paint it all as "lunatics thinking Hillary is banging kids in a pizza place." Some dude walking in to CPP and firing a few bullets (without injuring anybody, then peacefully surrendering) gave them an example to point at and say "look, these investigations are dangerous." The public perception of Pizzagate became permanently linked to this "Hillary Pizza Sex" idea, so any mention of related questions would just be laughed off at face value and the vast majority of people would be turned away from ever looking into it. Beyond that, I'm not willing to stand behind any particular theory. Things like the alleged Seth Rich and Scalia assassinations are interesting to consider, but it's not like I think they'll be proven true. I don't get why some people around here are so god damn hostile towards people who just question shit like this. |

Vertania 07/25/18 9:27:08 PM #20 | Favorite: Mario Mart 64 Don't really have a least favorite. Played a lot of the SNES one, Double Dash, and MK8, but not the others. Double Dash definitely seemed to have the cheapest, most cheating AI in the races, though. |

Vertania 07/25/18 4:23:57 PM #7 | Voted straight Democrat in 2008, then started voting 3rd party after that. I'd still vote Democrat if the only two options were Democrat or Republican, though. With everything that's happened since 2016, I really don't know what to do now. I might just leave the vote blank or do a write-in (if applicable) if there's no 3rd party option. |

Blue_Dream just did the same thing within the last month and ended that topic by saying he was going to continue doing it, despite not being able to tell me what I "believed" after being pressed multiple times. Doom_Art spent about two years following me around in every topic I posted in or made just to post "this proves the DNC killed Seth Rich." Literally that exact sentence repeated probably 50+ different times, regardless of the context of my post. I could post in a topic about Pokemon and he'd make a point to show up and do it. He's backed off over the last few months though. There are a few other posters that I can't remember who do it too. |

Making long posts detailing a hundred aspects on Pizzagate and refusing to tell people which parts you believe certainly isnt going to make you sound like you dont believe in batshit crazy conspiracies. Honestly, there's just no fucking point going into detail anymore. I'm not going to put the effort into saying which parts I think are more likely, then digging up and explaining all the evidence to support those theories. It just ends up being ignored, while jackasses like Tmaster, Doom_Art, Blue_Dream, etc., continue to misrepresent everything I tried to explain whenever they want to discredit me in a completely unrelated topic (like this one). And no matter how many times I press them to tell me how I'm a "pizzagater" or mark the posts, nothing changes. |

I wasn't a huge Dio fan until a few years after his death, but I did really like him at the time of his death and had just seen him with Black Sabbath a few months before. btw Lemmy was much more into amphetamines/speed than into cocaine. That's literally where the name of the band came from. He also had to stop drinking Jack and switch to wine because his health got really bad in his last year or two. |

Vertania 07/23/18 2:05:07 PM #24 | Sayoria posted... The child sex ring in the pizza shop run by Hillary. Wrong -_- It was a web of different "conspiracy theories" all related to the Podesta e-mail leaks. "Hillary's pizza sex" was a unfortunate (and small) piece of the community, which was misrepresented as the sole point so that the entire thing could be more easily dismissed. Other theories encompassed by the Pizzagate community included the assassinations of both Seth Rich and Scalia, illegal/unethical dealings of the Clinton Foundation (such as being complicit in human trafficking), and the Hollywood and/or government communities enabling sexual abuse of minors, among other things. If there was one thing about it that was most likely true, it was that the Podestas and other figures (like Alefantis) ran money laundering operations through art dealings. That said, Alefantis did make a lot of really weird, pedophilic comments and allusions on social media that were just indefensible. Doesn't necessarily mean there was a web of underage sex trafficking going on, though. Also, I'm not saying I agree with every part of the theory, or even that I actually believe anything involved with it. It was only ever a bunch of interesting theories that I thought were worth looking into and considering as a possibility, rather than blindly dismissing as a whole. I thought I made that clear whenever I discussed it in the past, but despite that, this board insists on telling everyone I believe "Hillary was banging kids in a pizza place." |

Topic | Did the Russian government try to interfere with the 2016 US election? |
Vertania 07/23/18 1:21:46 PM #42 | They most likely did. From what I understand, they attacked both sides of the political spectrum by stirring up shit on social media, aiming to devide the country as much as possible. They apparently were very successful, as the country is more divided now than it has been in a long time. What they probably didn't do was hack voting systems or hack/leak the DNC's e-mail system. What isn't 100% clear yet is whether it was actually the Russian government, Russian citizens being ordered by their government, or independent Russian individuals/groups. I'm leaning towards the first one, though. They also weren't the only country attempting to interfere with our election and the US interferes with foreign elections all the time, so singling them out as some lone boogeyman is kind of weird. |
