i know people say this a lot, but HHN needs to expand into Islands of Adventure again, I know it's a "capacity issue" at this point due to the expanded interest, but they've got to figure SOMETHING out

I am not paying for HHN plus the Fast Pass until they figure out their shit, at this point it's better just to watch Press walkthroughs of the houses on YouTube.

HHN was way better pre-Walking Dead

now it's dumbed down for babies, it used to be smaller and way better/scarier with its own lore and world that i feel barely gets touched anymore

In 2004, Squall/Kirby somehow started with no match pic, so Ceej had to scramble to get something up and this was what we got.

jfc kirby's pic factor is too strong, i literally cannot look at squall for more than a second before my eyes wander back to the big pink blob

also Ganondorf/Frog/Neku/KOS-MOS didn't have a pic for about an hour, and as soon as the pic came up KOS-MOS got a noticeable bump in votes

my latest theory that i came up with when i was taking a big shit (my big shit reminded me of Joel's match pic) was that Allen is attempting to streamline the contests as much as possible

so there won't be any more user-submitted match pics. ever. except for maybe the last round or two.

he's gonna use the same pics for every character. forever probably, or unless they get a major redesign

like he's banking on us nomming the same stable of characters every character battle

he won't change up the format much. no more gimmicks. just shit very similar to or identical to CBX. same with the game contests.

can i talk about something personal (but not that serious) for a bit?

since two-thousand-and-fucking-five we've been tossing the idea around of getting a "Noble Nine Proxy" character into a contest. we'd have countless rallies for Dark Link that would never go anywhere and people would always suggest "hey why not Dark Samus or Metal Sonic" but nobody ever took it too seriously or tried too hard

we got X and Zack, but Zack had an actual game to himself and X is freaking Mega Man X, his own character with a franchise.

it is absolutely nuts to me that it was ME, ZenOfThunder, perennial nobody who has not cracked the top 50 in UotY, with my incessant shilling and whining, that got one of the "Noble Nine Proxies" into a contest, and tonight, for the first time ever in contest history, we will finally get some kind of read on how strong or (probably very) useless they are in a real contest setting
