Oh I also fully recommend that you don't let yourself be bedridden. Get out of that bed and walk slowly even though it hurts. You will heal faster if you keep your circulation good by reducing how sedentary you are.

My doctor gave me a super cheap prescrip for saline solution, I was getting 1 litre bottles for like a dollar a piece. Otherwise you have to deal with either making your own, or buying much more expensive versions. My surgeon recommended getting a ton of Ky Jelly for dilating, and you will certainly want to have it. You will want various other medical supplies, and hopefully your surgeon has explained what those are already because you want to already have them by the time you get home.

I waited half a year to do anything. And then it was just fingering and using a few toys on myself. That works fine. I waited a bit longer to try oral, and that works well too. I've only recently started going further, and I am past the year mark already. Those first 3 months are intense. Brace yourself and get your supplies now unless you have a ton of help to get you through it.

Dustin1280 posted...
Here is the thing, I am absolutely positive that there are benefits to transitioning as early as possible, provided a child is truly suffering from gender dysphoria, I don't disagree with this at all.

But with how easily children are convinced of things and how quickly they make decisions on a whim, how can we possibly know for SURE that child was suffering from gender dysphoria and not simply got an idea in his/her head and chose to follow it?

In such a scenario (and don't try telling me this doesn't happen at all) early transition will do harm to said child.

How do we differentiate between a child's whimsy and a child truly suffering from dysphoria?

They extensively follow a child with therapy before they will even consider doing blockers or anything else. If a child feels the same way for over a year, it is almost certainly not just a phase. I don't personally have experience with transitioning as a child, but I do know the process. I would certainly have been angry and probably depressed if I had been denied it and I had known it was possible. For me, I just sort of thought it was impossible and got depressed that way.

I certainly knew that I should be a girl from 5 onwards, starting with the first time I regularly interacted with others, kindergarten. It had nothing to do with interests or anything, and everything to do with social tendencies, self-image, and how I saw myself wanting to be in the world. This was 28 years ago. There was no information back then, there was no media attention, and there certainly was no real widespread knowledge of it.

It always fascinates me that people think that denying treatment for those that know they need it is a good idea. One might wonder if that would contribute to the depressions that lead to suicide by itself. No way to know because fortunately that plan will never be implemented, but it certainly makes you wonder what those people are thinking and what kind of grounding in reality that they have.

Maybe if your only goal is to learn to fight primarily. By far the biggest benefit I've found in martial arts has been to finally learn my body and how it can move. It also teaches the discipline required to make it move the way you want it to, which actually helps in almost any walk of life.

Ladies, mind casting your vote on this?

Which do you think is a better response if you are trying to create interest on a date to the question "What's your job?" This is a first date.

1. "You know, I've always loved making sure the world stayed a fair and balanced place for people, so I decided to become a criminal defense lawyer and hope to one day become a judge so i can keep things fair and balanced at the highest level"

2. "Honestly? I get to make good money while helping people who have been screwed by the system. It's win/win."

Say #2 with a bit of snark

Well I am suspicious of the first, so second is automagically better.
