They all three swear they turned around to thank him and he vanished into a wide open field. I live outside Gettysburg and that's a really common one, especially around the college. He helps people get home all the time. Is it a dead solider dressed up in moder day clothing or a modern day guide who died there? It's a case-to-case thing. Some people have said he's dressed like one of the park rangers that work on the battlefield, other people say they thought he was a reenactor. I read the link but it didn't give much on how often it occurs. Crazy though.. There's a specific room he hangs out in (outside of, really) at the college. Nearly everyone that has stayed there has seen him in one form or another, usually just writing on the outside of the windows during the winter. A friend of mine that stayed in that dorm room her sophomore year said that the boy would tap on the window and the only way to get him to stop was to open it and invite him inside. If you ignored it he'd just get more aggressive and start doing scary shit. Basically just be nice to him and he'll leave you alone.
