I don't understand the question. It is indeed possible the majority of gay men are not oppressed as is evidenced by tge OP. That is true of every demographic. Why did you post that in response to what I posted?
Because I was sure if you were being serious or sarcastic. Were you really asking despite what "SJWs" say that homosexual people are still really oppressed and not given equal rights in this country?

Yes. I do not believe gay people are in any way oppressed in this country or that they do not have equal rights.

I say homosexual man and/or woman. I don't like to use gay. Wtf just uses homosexual as an adjective? That's like saying the blacks/whites/Asians.

A homosexual man is using the word 'homosexual' as an adjective
Post 8 said: The only homosexuals I know are either unemployed or constantly looking for work

Which is using homosexuals as nouns, which is weird as you pointed out with "blacks/whites/Asians"

As far as not liking to use the word gay, meh. Some people prefer it, some don't. In my opinion it's similar to using 'African American' in that it's not wrong but it just feels oddly formal. I'm a gay latino who prefers to identify as a hispanic man, so who knows?
In my day and age gay was derogatory and often even used in name calling in a negative way with heterosexual kids. So while a younger generation of folks, from both sexualities, may have adopted it in a non-derogatory fashion, it's kind of always in my head that way. I guess I show my age in that way.

The newer generations seem to be less and less interested in children. Also marriage. If more people are waiting later in life to get married/commit to each other, I am guessing that will lessen the chances of children.

We had our first son when I was 26 and my wife 25 and our second almost 2 years latter. After which I permanently took care of that not happening again.

Either way, I don't think it's a bad thing. And I think it's also good that generations aren't be taught to rush out marry and have kids. Having a family consist of a husband and wife is just as much a family as one with kids.

He is claiming his Facebook accounts have been hacked though Im not sure if there is any evidence to support this allegation. He is for raising teacher pay which I imagine a lot are happy about. He is also openly gay which is not something a lot of republicans would support in their leadership. He also seems unhinged. Apparently, he is running for governor out of some vendetta he has with the University of Tulsa.
So isn't that fair to say then, that he might not have said, and instead of circle jerking we could give him the benefit of the doubt. I mean, as you pointed out, he's not even your typical Republican for the usual suspect to get all enraged for just for being a Republican.

I mean if he said it, and means it, by all means he deserves whatever he reaps. I just notice how quick people jumped to crucifying him with the same behavior they'd give the other side shit for when it is not in their favor.

Barbecues were banned about three years on the eastern part of the lake, after complaints about trash and a toddler was burned by improperly disposed charcoal, but police did not cite the family.

So the white woman was right, and the black family was wrong. Cry all you want, that's a fact.

And we know why the authorities didn't cite them for a violation. They don't want a fucking riot nor do they want people attacking the police over this. Not worth the risk.
Not to mention during burn bans grass fires can easily be started by sparks. When we have burn bans here charcoal grills are prohibited even on ones own property much less state property like a public park.

Now whether the gal calling it in had only altruistic reasons is irrelevant to the safety of those others in the park.

Guys.... opinion wanted.

I am 26, so is my gf. We have been together since 2009 and we are both in the same boat in life.

She is really pushing hard to have kids, but I don't want to. She knows that we are getting old..

The main reason I don't want kids, is the fact that I don't consider myself an adult yet. In other words, I want to have a steady career, place to live, etc. before taking on the challenge of raising a child.

Aside from that, deep down, I am just not a fan of this world. Why bring another person into it only so that it can suffer the game of life?

Anyways... if I were to have a child, I would do it before 30.

Too old?

I really don't want kids until I feel stable.
Don't take this as a stab at you, but you might never. I know I never did. I get the stability part with finances and all. But I never felt like I was and adult. Still don't really. And now I have 14 and 11 year old sons.

But I do agree with most other's quoting you. I think it is something both people need to agree on, especially in the case of you and your SO since you both seem adamant and are on opposite ends of the pole.

idk, don't know a great deal about the simulation theory, though who is the simulator? Do you think simulation theory is kinda similar to religion?

I don't know that much about it either. But I know that the "simulator" could be anything from someone running it for fun, for education, maybe to learn more about their own universe, etc or even a computer running automated tests. There's also the theory that to them, our universe is existing at an accelerated rate. In other words, our multi-billion year existence might just be a few weeks to them or even just a few seconds. It's not really a religion, because there's a good chance that whoever is running the simulation doesn't really care about us.

even if you believe that in a way it is similar to religion isn't it? Read again what you posted. Many people, also religious claim a higher power doesn't really care or meddles with humans
As far as Christians, the big loophole in the Bible is where it specifically states that "a thousand years are but a day" to God. This supposedly explains the vast passage of time between Jesus sacrifice and his supposed second coming, without God coming off as a passive aggressive dick that continues to let us suffer. Because the key to packing them into the pews is that there is something waiting for us after death and that we are just on a different plane of existence from God. And it's not that he's uncaring, but that his perceptions are far more advanced than ours.

What scares me is thinking in terms of numbers. Not existing for an infinite amount of time. Thinking of years that go by while youre alive and then thinking of the millions of years that go by while you dont exist.

I just cant imagine
These are pretty much my feelings.

Take a minute and think of all the billions and billions of people that died before that literally have no one in history to remember/recall them.

Then think after that how you will be that nobody that anyone can remember and just a nameless dead person of the past.

Death is indeed the great equalizer.

Lmao. I am now trying (or am I trying NOT to) envision just what a homosexual test would be.

There was this auto-response study on people once. People were shown sexually provocative images of both sexes and they monitored arousal. I think it turned out that a lot of women were aroused by both.
My wife and I were just discussing that, the other night to a degree. She will watch lesbian porn with me for foreplay. So I curiously ask if she had any inclination to watch two men, since that is her preferred gender. It seemed logical to me, since I like lesbian porn. I mean hell with a strap on, you cut the man right out of the picture. :-) She said she had no desire to seek it out, but was not sure how she would react if she did watch it.

I don't think they're making s spectacle just because they posted about it in a closed FB group. They're probably just looking for other peoples' input
But what is people's input going to accomplish? It's not like they adding messages to the FB for Pokemon opinions or things related to the event itself. The intent seems to be to stir the pot because they don't like Trump and want affirmation about their assumptions and generalizations of the event organizer because he voted for Trump. It could be easily left alone, for the sake of the enjoyment of all the other participants of the event who aren't making it a political cluster.

I think that couple in the OP is being a bit melodramatic. If they don't want to go because the organizer is a Trump supporter and possibly (by proxy) anti-trans, then just don't go. No need to make a spectacle out of not going.
Legit blame the internet. It seems people are getting more and more incapable of just making a decision to do or not do something and move on without plastering it all over social media.

Panic attacks suck. I had one over a job, and I didn't even know what it was. But I was miserable at that job, and was glad when I did get out of it and get the job I have now.
