Doesn't seem to be a big deal to me. Now if they devalued some flagship features (3x rewards, $300 travel credit, 1.5x bonus if you redeem points for travel), then we'd have a problem.

Still madly in love with my S8+ after owning it for 6 months. My former iPhones were good too (most recently a 6 Plus), but I'm enjoying Android (at least Samsung's flavor of it) way more. I just feel I can do much more on it.

We can and do. If a doctor puts in an order for a medication that I disagree with, it doesn't get verified and I call them out on it. Simple as that.

In this case, if Walmart implements this new company policy on opioids, there's nothing stopping the patient from getting their meds from another pharmacy.

Alas, we do. Can't tell you the number times I've caught erroneous orders from doctors. Pharmacists have a more robust background on drug therapy than doctors and it shows.

I hope everyone you deny just goes to a different pharmacy and gets it anyway.

Well I'm not a retail pharmacist so I'm never going to experience this.

Like I said, patients have the choice to go to whatever pharmacy they want if Walmart implements this new policy.

In Massachusetts there's the MassPAT. It's basically a thing you MUST log into as a prescriber of drugs whenever you prescribe an opiate. It'll tell you essentially who has been doctor shopping and getting prescriptions like crazy. I would imagine that pharmacists have access to a similar program. And 37 states have a similar program although I don't know the details of it.

Yeah here in Maryland, there's CRISP, which is essentially the state-run health exchange program as part of the prescription drug monitoring program (PDMP). All licensed Maryland pharmacists much register partly for the reasons that you described.

Most luxury cars you see on the road are on 2-3 year leases because nobody wants them around when they rack up miles and fall out of warranty. Leasing is also good if you quickly get bored with cars and want something fresh every couple years.

The 7 day limit doesn't really bother me since you can just get a new script if you need more drug.

Additionally, the pharmacies will restrict the dosage to a maximum of 50 morphine milligram equivalents per day

I assume this is referring only for opioid naive patients. Otherwise, I'm wondering how their going to handle patients with terminal cancer or those afflicted with chronic pain.

If someone steals my phone/watch, I can sign into my account remotely and turn it into a brick.

These mobile payment systems also use "tokenization" such that the phone/watch doesn't transmit your real card number. In fact, when I look at my receipts, I see that the number recorded is a different one altogether.

I use Samsung Pay all the time on my Gear S3.

Best thing about it is that it has both NFC and MST functionality, so you can use it literally anywhere you can use a credit card. Apple Pay in comparison only supports NFC.

On the watch, it's as simple as holding down the back button, selecting the card I want, then hold the watch near the terminal.

I mean a quartz watch will be more accurate with time telling, but I absolutely prefer the automatic/mechanical movement of a Swiss watch. My Skagen is a quartz watch, but I rarely wear it nowadays.

I don't think Google has a dedicated Maps app for the Gear line, but there are alternatives in the app store I think.

And I'm just chuckling at the idea that watches are somehow a lost relic. I was reading an article the other day that said some schools are removing analog clocks because kids nowadays can't read them. I think I know why.

Wearing a watch, to me, is about as important as wearing belts and shoes that match if you're trying to be dressy.

Smart watches aren't like traditional watches, which you can hold onto indefinitely and pass on to future generations. Smart watches will degrade and slow down over time, just like smartphones do. Also, newer iterations are released every 1-2 years, so they get outdated pretty quickly. However, software updates may come through periodically to help things stay fresh and smooth.

Besides my S3, I have a pair of real watches to wear if I'm going somewhere formal. I fully expect them to outlast my S3 eventually.
