Honest answer: the humor is certainly more clever than a lot of other animated shows (I'm looking at you, Family Guy), and the writers attempt to keep a lot of it semi-realistic, but with a bit of comedic exaggeration.

There was that 12-year old kid a few years back in Taipei, he was near a painting and wasn't watching where he was walking, he stumbled into a little platform they had in front of it to keep people from getting too close (oh, wicked irony), put his hand out to catch himself...and punched right through it. Tangent, but a couple years ago, Edy's made Ice Cream Sandwich-flavored tub ice cream. I saw that walking down the frozen aisle one night and was like WTF.

You could just buy a box of ice cream sandwiches, let them sit out for like 5 minutes, then mash them up in a bowl and get the same result. ^_^

Word of God says that S3 takes place around the time of the Whisperers conflict. If they keep up the age progression, she'll be about 16 in S4, but that would mean nothing they say in it would matter to the comic, because it hasn't been 2 years there yet.

I think when your entire Resistance force has been whittled down to just one battle crusier you've got bigger problems on than what some hot head pilot could do. Just tell him the damn plan. The odds were already hugely stacked against them and not working with the few remaining personel you have left stacks the odds even further against you.

The main problem seems to have been their personalities clashing. Poe thought he was entitled to know the plan, Holdo saw no reason to give him that information when he had a history of rash actions.

Just one question, why was Finn betraying Phasma good while Poe betraying Holdo was bad? Weren't they both in militaries? Weren't they both supposed to follow orders? Weren't they both in grunt positions? Weren't they both ordered to do questionable things that got people killed?

I just want to know if you also think Finn was in the wrong. Because if not, I don't know how you can say Poe was wrong for what he did.
Technically yes, Finn was in the wrong, at least by the standards of the First Order. If he was truly loyal to them (the way Poe is loyal to the Resistance), he wouldn't have betrayed them. But he wasn't, he was already having doubts before they went to Jakku. And no, their roles were not equivalent. Finn was a grunt, Poe was a squad commander with subordinates and a higher level of responsibility.

Trust isn't transferable like that. When there's no reason for Poe, or the audience, to think Holdo would keep him in the dark about a secret plan, it's completely right to oust a leader who is sending people to their deaths for no good reason.
Perhaps I shouldn't have used the word trust. But Leia made it clear that she picked Holdo to lead. Given the high esteem in which Poe holds Leia, that in itself should have proven to him that Holdo was capable. He just didn't like not having a seat at the big kid's table anymore and threw a temper tantrum. Further, he demanded that Holdo treat him the same way Leia had, overlooking that Holdo had never dealt with him before, and also that he'd royally (pardon the pun) pissed Leia off with his "got the entire bomber wing destroyed" stunt and been demoted.

1- So put a proton torpedo on the X-Wing. Problem solved.

2- Mass is infinite at light speed. A pebble moving at light speed would have the same mass as a spaceship moving at the same velocity.
1 - So put a proton torpedo on the droid-controlled X-wing and hope the droid can manage to pull off a run that exactly two pilots managed (one of them failing), and further hope that the torpedo can tear out of the fuselage without exploding on contact and then make it to the core?

2 - Can't imagine how you'd accelerate a pebble to light speed. ^_^

Saying the ends justifies the means and that "following orders because you HAVE to" is what villains do. Poe was perfectly right in mutinying Holdo. The only reason she remained "good" is due to plot contrivance and bad writing.

The Resistance is a military organization, and in military organizations, yes, you follow orders when they are given to you by someone of higher rank (much less the drastic jump between captain and vice-admiral). Yes, I admit that sometimes mutiny is the correct course of action, but that is a RARE case, and IMO it wasn't the case here. Poe had openly defied an order, which got their entire bomber group killed. Leia made it very clear to him that due to that, he was going back to just a pilot.

At the very least, since Poe trusted Leia and Leia trusted Holdo, Poe should have trusted that Leia made a good choice, especially given that he seemed impressed by one of Holdo's prior victories.

Yeah. It's real great how they screwed up so much about Star Wars logic with this one movie.

Like how one ship can just go into hyperdrive and destroy an entire fleet of Star Destroyers by kamikazeing itself. It makes the Rebels looks pretty dumb when they could have just rigged up any X-wing to a computer pilot and just rammed it into the Death Star's exhaust.

1 - Proton torpedoes are self-propelled. The wreckage of an X-Wing is going to run out of inertia once it's engines are destroyed, and the engines aren't fitting through the entry.

2 - VASTLY different masses.

Just answer this: when Poe removed Holdo by force, why wouldn't she just tell him the plan at that point? If he were a spy, he wouldn't be concerned with her suicide plan AND he would have simply shot them all. Since Poe clearly expressed the reason was because he thought her plan was suicidal AND he didn't simply immediately kill them all, it would have been extremely obvious to anyone that he wasn't on the Order's side. All Holdo had to do was tell him the plan, and nothing bad would have happened. So what gives?

I think it's a marketing thing tho. Hasbro doesn't want to sell a 2-pack with two villains.

Honestly, Shuri, M'Baku, Klaw, even T'Challa's mom would have been more interesting than Ross.
