People going "Well people are gonna be different" are missing the entire point of Luke's character and the disservice the returning characters have received so far in in the sequel trilogy as a whole The dialogue was stiff, the anticipated confrontations either never happen or was brought down to only a few minutes (or seconds in the case of Phasma vs Finn) and everything is covered in a thin shield of "Oh it's not expected so it's okay." No, Agent Smith in The Matrix getting defeated by Norton Antivirus is unexpected. That doesn't make it okay. --- Sometimes I say things and I'm not voice acting. |

| AvantgardeAClue 06/29/18 5:27:51 PM #66 | First listen done This is gonna sound crazy but this is the album I was hoping to hear after IYRTITL Someone had a suggested track listing that blended the two discs and I definitely agree it sounds better that way There are some okay tracks but nothing that has me skipping hard like on More Life or Views I think Drake's biggest problem is that he doesn't understand that nobody cares if he sounds hard anymore; I listen to him for the blend of disingenuous emotional sentiments and bragadoccio declarations that sometimes resonates with me. Moment you take things seriously it becomes a wash. TC and NWTS were different because he wasn't concerned with anyone's thoughts and therefore he gave it his all musically 3.5/5, might go up to 4 if the blended track listing is as good as I heard --- Sometimes I say things and I'm not voice acting. |
