Weak day compared to previous ones, saved by one awesome song.

-First match is extremely tough, but for the wrong reasons. Sayonara's best Phase is the second one, but the piece is so convoluted and has so many uninteresting parts that makes it difficult to compare it fairly to Rivers in the Desert, which is more consistent throughout but it's also pretty lackluster. Had to relisten to both songs a few times to make up my mind.

-Cosmic Hero beats Undertale to the ground. Undertale's not bad, it's actually relaxing and accomplishes what it tries to do, but there's no contest here. I'd be really happy if Cosmic Hero wins this, or at least retires.

-Even though MAIN MEN sounds pretty good, it also sounds too shy to show its true power and just stays... there. Stage 5 sounds more secure but it's not exactly my cup of tea.

Great day. Also a day of contrasts.

-Easy first match (although Mystic Pendulum's not that bad.
-Easy second match (although Deadman falling is pretty good as well; Laguerra's too OP).
-Easy third match. I thought Messenger was bad last round iirc, but now it is decent at least. I really don't like autoclave.

This is kind of true --and kind of sad-- but not entirely. As I've said before, nothing seems to please Board 8 in terms of contests anymore. I've enjoyed every contest since my first one (Game of the Decade) all the way to Years, and I remember just how pissed off people were back when Brawl beat Melee (ah... good times...), but they weren't really pissed for unfair reasons. I remember that everyone was expectant just before Years started. I think people in general do still care about contests, it's just less traffic, unfair rallies and lack of actual contests that gives the illusion of people not caring.

Pretty good day! Small gaps between every song too.

-Close-ish first match. Bodhisattva, while interesting throughout its entire duration (as mentioned above), lacks punch throughout too.
-Close-ish second match. Falcom sounding Falcom but nothing special added to the mix; Fallen Angel is TRANNNNCE... So soothing and upbeat at the same time. This song actually makes me feel a little in love, so if I was currently actually in love with somebody, the emotion would multiply enormously.
-Easy third match; better-sounding Falcom song in here than in the main bracket.

Pretty good and strong day!

-First match is easy, but just because Scrap I/O is sort of OP.
-Second match is closer, but clear after comparison. Also, somehow A Beautiful Song (what a humble title... really; a more appropriate title would be "An Epic Song" and it wouldn't sound so egotistical) sounds better to me this time around and is way more NieR-sounding like the songs in the first game.
-Zenith is still better than Ar-ciel. Ar-ciel is the weakest song today, but it compensates itself with the last minute of the song.

Zenith > New World Order > Scrap I/O > A Beautiful Song >> End of All (Land) > Ar-ciel Ar-manaf

If Scrap I/O and New World Order advance, I'm going to have to think my vote really carefully (they're the only songs I'm not entirely sure if I ranked correctly [according to my tastes] today).

Well, just finished my last thing waiting in my backlog for this board: Listening to these 6 songs.

-Activation: Nice atonal song.
-Striking the Octopus: Good Spanish-like song that could've been better if focused in the beat rather than in the accordion.

-Giselle: At first I thought it was singing in Spanish or Latin (and me hearing puppies barking), but then I saw in the comments that it was singing Portuguese; Portuguese like I've never heard it before... You know, it always has that "sambinha" feel to it when you hear the language, but here it sounds so soft, beautiful and European. Too bad that slow songs that focus heavily on vocals or light instrumentation are almost always guaranteed to not have a higher rating than, say, a good Rock song.
-Bodhisattva Kill: Too long and vague for my taste. It doesn't get that good until the second phase, but it's still high enough to beat Giselle, (for good or bad). It has highs and lows, but it ultimately kind of bores me.

-Messenger: That picture looks creepy; also, the song is kind of a "meh" orchestrated piece, and it also sounds kind of creepy as well (kind of Castlevania-like, but bad).
Space Jam: Nice take on the original theme.
