It's far more common to carry inside the waistband, in the pocket, or some other concealed carry method. Secondly, state laws often dictate whether or not you have a duty to inform the officer in a traffic stop or other law enforcement interaction that you are carrying a firearm. So if you have a duty to inform, you generally present your permit along with your driver's license and other documentation. Then there are several etiquette issues you can observe that might make the interaction easier, such as informing the officer even in a non-duty state or situation, informing him of the location of your firearm before reaching for anything, etc. In states where concealed carry is common it's usually not that big of a deal and cops know how to proceed. --- Does the name Pavlov ring a bell? |

There is a dragon you can get to prematurely by jumping into a pit on level 2 that takes you straight to level 5. I also dislike the "talk to everybody in a town and get all the quests" trope in RPGs, it feels very tedious. They tried to evoke Baldur's Gate but it doesn't have the same appeal. | Buzz Killjoy 04/06/18 9:17:04 AM #58 | The FOID is apparently what they call "shall issue" in IL (meaning if you meet the eligibility requirements, they must issue it to you) but they are one of the most restrictive states when it comes to ownership. I may not be interpreting their law correctly but it looks like you'd have to have this FOID already to even purchase a firearm or ammunition, so if you're following the law it wouldn't change much except having to leave that town to shoot your rifle. --- Does the name Pavlov ring a bell? |

It's just faster to draw and shoot. I would have more anxiety issues carrying a condition 1 hammer-fired pistol than a decocked hammer or DAO striker-fired pistol. --- Does the name Pavlov ring a bell? |

I worked for a sort of pop-up telemarketing company that would send a manager out to a city for a new promotion and hire temps to make calls. In this case they were selling coupon books. I was looking for a delivery job and got hired to deliver the coupon books and collect the money. The manager would call me every time somebody made a sale and I would be expected to be there within 15 minutes to complete the transaction. This was way before smart phones or even decent cell networks, so I'd have to have maps and shit to figure out where I was going. Plus, because people would basically say anything to get the salespeople off the phone, I ended up closing the deal about 90% of the time without getting any of the credit or the commission. Fortunately the coupon books were pretty legit, so I would close by selling out the company and acknowledging how shady the sales practices were and how shitty my job was to the customers, and they'd usually agree to buy the thing. I did that for two weeks and then I bailed. --- Does the name Pavlov ring a bell? |

I didn't see it and think that...but that's definitely what it turns into late in the game. I enjoyed it, actually got the platinum trophy collecting all the things, but honestly it stretched on a little too long (even though that's something we aren't supposed to admit to game developers these days). There wasn't enough gameplay variety at the end to make continuing the exploration interesting, even with all the skills unlocked. The main story missions were decent and worth finishing.
