I don't know if it's comparable because all modern versions of GTASA have that content patched out, the HC mod isn't provided by Rockstar, and to my knowledge they don't direct you to methods on how to get it.

Disc-based PC games were pretty dead before Steam came onto the scene. I wouldn't even say they ensured it stayed dead because we see a lot of other things move into a digital-only space like streaming and console games.

Yeah, accounts are free to make. You get a large amount of premium currency in many of these by just doing the tutorial and easy early tasks to make it easier on new players and to hook them in. What a lot of people do is "reroll accounts", where they make new accounts and draw from the gacha until they get something they like or is really good.

To be honest they're all hot trash, but every person has a different reason to play them, i guess most people on FEH are on it because they enjoy the franchise fanservice, and FGO for the fate universe.

Yeah, as far as gameplay is concerned, I'm not really a huge fan of the RPGs in general. It's almost completely the "collect my waifus in cute outfits" factor.

The big exception is Love Live and Bang Dream because there's an actual rhythm game under the gacha features and I'm a sucker for that.

It's possible. Final Fantasy Brave Exvius had a problem with injectors at one point, where people would cheat items and units into their game through some sort of exploit. I think people are pretty quickly caught and banned, though.
If you wanted to make like a private server kind of dealio, I think it's just really impractical with how frequently these games get updated.

I'm really liking it. I'm actually playing it right now since they just released the new event >_> Seems pretty easy so far to save up enough iris for pulls I want, and having a guaranteed 4* for your first pull of so many new banners seems really generous compared to many other gacha games I've played.

Yeah, you'll probably never ever get everything. If you're a completionist, gacha games are pretty bad for you. A large part of how they get you is also releasing limited time stuff so you feel the urge to spend because "it's never coming back".

And what about once they stop updating it? Does the whole game just die with it?

They typically go on for as long as they make money. However, once it shuts down, you'll lose everything, so it's why I could never justify spending money in these games.

I'm pretty sure it's supposed to focus on the relationship between Kino and Hermes, because it's one of the few chapters where she's actually worried about Hermes being in danger for once.

Yeah, she was firm on coming back for Hermes as quickly as she could and her reluctance to just leave him there. It's a bit funny when I think back to the first episode when Kino took cover behind Hermes, but I think guns don't seem to pose any significant danger for motorrads.

Every single episode of Kino (both the original series and the new one) is based off of one of the novels. A couple of the most popular ones from the original series (including the Coliseum episode) were re-adapted in the new series as well.

Time to get around to checking them out. I still have the link barnnn posted with his translations. I really like this kind of episodic story.

I remember partway through the game there was a reveal that one of the characters is Solange's long lost brother or something and I was like "She had a brother?" because you know practically nothing about any of these characters throughout the entire game.
