The Dad, The Beard Gorilla, and I manga is back!

You guys should definitely read this if you're in the mood for something fluffy, wholesome, and sometimes bittersweet reading.

It's a story that centers around a family made up of a man who recently lost his wife, his daughter, and his brother that came to live with them; and their day-today lives as they learn to live with their grief, moving on from their loss, and just watch them grow as people. And of course, the adorable adventures the daughter gets into.

It's one of my all time favorites. You guys should definitely check it out.

My understanding is the remake includes some kind of battle skip option, but I don't recall the details. I haven't played it, though, so I can't say for certain.

It's more of a new difficulty mode you select at the start.

If you choose Friendly mode, you can 1 shot all enemies on the overworld with your sword, so you can just progress through the story. You still have to fight bosses though.

There's a caveat though. You can switch between Normal or Hard in-game, but once you either choose Friendly or Nightmare mode, you're stuck like that until you finish the game.

The trash battles drag a bit, which is a common consequence of having a more complex battle system, and I really wish party members would get exp when they weren't in the party, but it is indeed a fantastic game.

even in the remake? I was really hoping they sould improve that

They added an exp and money dlc for the remake that helps lessen the grind somewhat.

anyways, batoto is back.

Eh, not really.

Batoto was auctioned off and it was bought by a second-rate scanripper site. I think it was mangapanda or something? Not sure. In any case, there's really no need to go to batoto anymore.

All the scanlators upload directly (aside from their own sites) to mangadex now. It's basically batoto 2.0. Some of the original batoto staff have been transferring all the old archived manga on there over the last few months.

Well this is interesting.

So somebody started scanlating Umareru Seibetsu wo Machigaeta!

It's an auto-biographical manga, which is in itself, pretty rare. But the manga is about a transwoman (i.e. MtF trans) detailing the events and circumstances of her transition.

There's only one chapter out so far, out of 17 total. It's pretty lighthearted and comedic, and it earnestly tries to educate people about trans people and the SRS (Sexual Reassignment Surgery) process.

So if you're interested in that, check it out.

Oh, you'll see later that Chise makes a lot of other dumb decisions. She's a teenager remember? Dumb decisions are sorta their thing.

Started playing Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology

The start is just as excellent as I remember. It's rare to have a game that has such an amazing hook and premise that you just want to dive into it and see what happens next.

Plus, the added voices give some much appreciated weight and depth to the characters. Even though I've heard ALL of their voices from every other ATLUS game before. ATLUS really likes drawing from the same VA pool over and over again.
