With my Galaxy S8+, I have a choice. Fast wired or wireless charging, expandable or cloud storage, headphone jack or Bluetooth - all the while maintaining IP68 certification. This is what I expect from a flagship device.

For a modern iPhone or Pixel device, you don't have that choice. If you're okay with the manufacturer telling you how to use your $800 device, then good for you.

I proposed to my then girlfriend last December and presented to her a diamond solitaire ring (set on yellow gold, as was her preference).

It was an arduous process for me in that I had to stalk her Pinterest to learn exactly what she like. I knew I wanted a diamond ring set on yellow gold beforehand, but I wanted to further know her preferences as far as cut, clarity, carat, and color (Diamond 4Cs), and more specific requirements for the setting.

I made it a point to maximize cut and clarity since those two matter the most. If you're going to go with a diamond gem stone, she's going to want it to pop and sparkle. Carat is weight (not size), and you can save yourself some money if you go with a smaller weight and dress it up with a halo-style setting. Halos were a big no-no for my fiance, so I didn't go that route.

Samsung is pretty low tier when it comes to the whole range of Android devices. The Pixel 2 XL is easily the best device on the market right now.

No headphone jack, no wireless charging, no expandable memory, dated design, with an inferior display.

What helps in expediting the process is doing your homework beforehand. Walk into that dealership knowing the exact make/model/trim/package/etc that you want. Don't just come in there saying "I want a white SUV" - you're just being naive.

And you'll be surprised at what little knowledge the dealer has about these cars they sell. My goal is to always know more than they do by researching the car I want from their website, then following up on the car mag reviews and forums. You want to walk into that dealership primed and ready.

I have no idea what they were thinking when they discontinued the V6 Accord.

Honda knows how to make a V6 and I also lamented the loss. There's was nothing wrong with it - mate that V6 to the new 10 AT and it'll return even better fuel economy and do the 0-60 in the low 5s at least.

Used cars that are 1 or 2 yrs old are just as good as new except without the higher price tag? Should I be suspicious of people selling cars after it came out 1-2 yrs ago?

A 2-3 year old car might just be coming off lease, so it shouldn't have anything wrong with it. It'll also be certified and come with the factory warranty.

I would look for a 2013-2017 V6 Accord Coupe. Good looks, does the 0-60 in the mid 5s, and Honda reliability. What else do you need?
