I don't break into homes while armed when I don't want my eyes gouged out. He went into survival mode, they say during a crocodile or shark attack to go for the eyes to subdue the attacker. This man was being attacked, took a few rifle butts to the head and reacted to survive. Completely fair game and that point he didn't know if he had a backup sidearm, a knife, all he knew was his life was being threatened in that moment. He wasn't thinking "how can I torture this guy" he was thinking "what's the most effective way to subdue this attacker". I have no issue with this, don't fuckin break into someones house with a rifle.

I like hockey. Soccer is like a much slower game played on an enormous field with no physical contact and man babies that dive and cry when they are barely tapped. I don't find it to be intense or enjoyable through the entire length of the game.

It's not without giving it a chance, I've seen dozens of games.

I'm not trying to be a killjoy and I appreciate the magic. I was there when Return of the Jedi premiered. I was in the audience for one of the first viewings of Terminator 2. The thrill of people loving the movie so much that it erupted in clapping and cheers at its conclusion. The joy of people's excited banter whIle exiting at the end. It's just so different anymore.

Now it's 20 times per film my eye being drawn away by some dick needing to text or post on Facebook and the shine of cellphones during the movie, people talking, zero respect for anyone trying to enjoy it. 90 minutes is too long to be away from their damn phones to enjoy what's on the screen in front of them. It was never like this.

It wasn't like this, theaters are dying, hence the need for services like movie pass and even in itself it's not enough to save it long term.

Again, this is MY personal opinion as an avid movie viewer. It's over an hour drive to my closest theater. The prices are gauged. I never get lucky with a quiet or uninterrupted theater. I can honestly say from 2000 to 2010 I went to the movies 2-3 times per month. I can count on one hand how many since 2015. I am confident I have been 4 times only. That's how bad its gotten, both price and people. If new movies were available to stream day one, I would gladly pay $20+ for a one time rental.
