I hope anyone thinking Croatia are finalist favorites are doubting that because Denmark was the better team that match and it's not often that's the case.

Croatia looked very weak but I wouldn't want to write them off on one performance, especially when Denmark were very tactically clever in this game and nullified them

Croatia should beat Russia and have a stronger midfield than England or Colombia, who are both less disciplined than Denmark. Still my favourites for the final but I'll admit that the game tonight did a bit of damage to that belief.

Yeah, they can definitely get there, and it wouldn't surprise me. But they're very likely not to go into into the semi-final as favorites. Wouldn't even rule Russia completely out of it.

I think the best overall squads left are France and Brazil, obviously, and maybe Belgium 3rd, but Croatia's first XI with a correctly-deployed Modric and Rakitic is very, very strong.

I really do think Uruguay needs to be named here. That squad is so compact and in control. Shame they're playing France already.

Aside from the first 15 minutes it took Denmark to get ready, Croatia is honestly not looking that impressive, their chances have mostly been Denmark's defense being poor.

(Tbh I don't think it's appreciated how big an upset it would be if Denmark won, Croatia genuinely have an excellent team and Modric is arguably the best player left in the tournament - you can make arguments for Neymar or De Bruyne or some Frenchman but Modric is absurdly good)

I for one think Argentina sucking the first matches have made Croatia quite overrated. They're good yes, but definitely beatable.
