| ProfDE 06/07/18 12:04:16 PM #46 | The self checkouts at my work are better than most because they don't yell at the person for removing items from the bagging area or skipping bagging too many times. The main problem is people who are too dumb to hit "Pay Now" before inserting their credit card into the card reader which confuses the machine and then it takes a good 1-2 minutes for it to fix itself. The other problem is that card readers should be universal so all machines it is the same button for credit. I probably have to tell customers a couple hundred times a day that it is the red cancel button for credit. --- |

Road conditions were perfectly clear so there is no reason they couldn't be going at least the speed limit. It took a while to be able to pass the car because of how much slower the lane was moving. When I passed the car, I gave them a good blast of the horn. --- |

At my store we make announcements half hour to close, 15 minutes, 10 minutes, 5 minutes, and then when we are closed. People with any sense of respect should be coming up to the front on the five minute announcement. I have stuff to do when we get the store closed such as getting all the register tills. Last night two groups of people didn't get to the front until around 15 minutes after we closed. Karma bit one of them in the butt because one of the two groups that had to use self checkout forgot a bag. I don't even feel sorry for them having to make an extra trip back today to get it since they didn't respect my time. Due to yesterday being the end of the week I ended up with about half an hour of overtime which I will probably get yelled at even though it was 100% the customer's fault and not my own. --- |
