started out as a my little pony fighting game

hasbro threatens to sue them

just when they are ready to call it quits and shut down the project Lauren Faust(creator of MLP FIM)volunteers to design new characters and help them make the game an original property on it's own

and later the creators of skullgirls handed them the engine for skullgirls to use in this game

so in short a my little pony fighting fan game went from being shutdown by hasbro to being revived by lauren faust and the skullgirls crew

has this ever happened before? a fan game gets shut down and suddenly help starts coming out of the woodworks to make the game official

i mean the whole "Big Budget Games" versus indie games argument

both can be good i agree but there's some stigma lately that big budget titles are simply crapping all over the industry with loot boxes and rush jobs to meet a deadline

while on the other end Indie games can be seen as truly liberating because these are the games made by people who aren't being tethered down by insane deadlines and needs to squeeze every penny out of the fanbase with awkward dlc and microtransactions

indie games can be just as bad as big budget games but for whatever reason there's this side in gaming that thinks indie games are more often than not 100 times better than what you could ever find in the last big budget game you bought

The anime / manga boom lasted from 1999 to 2008. Since then, it has gone back to being a niche market, and only streaming video is keeping it alive in the U.S. ... The stigma of being a fan has only increased, unfortunately.

corporations and people with secrets that cannot be revealed are forced to hire dangerous couriers known as Ledger Men Or "Paper Jockeys" that carry the intel in briefcases they carry with them and protect with their life

different countries will react to the mass doxing in different ways such as Japan reverting back to a 70's lifestyle

thing is IDW's best stuff is their licensed material they don't really have a lot of original stuff worth note coming out these days

but it's kinda hard to compete with image's output when you don't have top tier talent on your side

DC's new age of heroes is failing so far and they tried to put all the effort they could into that but nobody was interested

it's hard for new writers to be elevated since fans are so against new ideas and want the status quo to never be shaken up

but you can't exactly go to image comics and stir up interest if you aren't a big name like rick remender or jonathan hickman
