Instead, he decided to take manners into his own hands. Bowen had originally walked into the West Columbia, South Carolina restaurant at 3AM in search of something to eat after a night of drinking. After unsuccessfully waiting 10 minutes for someone to assist him in the deserted restaurant, he finally went back into the kitchen and saw the exhausted employee slumped over a table. Bowen told Inside Edition: As soon as I walked around the bar to go to the back and I noticed one employee sleeping, I looked at her for a few seconds and I thought about waking her up but I thought this employee is probably tired, I got you fam, Ill take care of it. Bowen then made himself his own steak and cheese sandwich, gobbled his meal down, cleaned up after himself, and quietly left the restaurant. He didnt dine and dash, however Bowen later returned to the restaurant so he could pay for his food when a cashier was present. When Willis was the first cop to arrive on the scene of a traffic collision in West Yorkshire, England, he found that a van had crashed into the safety railing and was left teetering over the side of a bridge with the driver still inside. As the vehicle swayed dangerously in the wind, Willis grabbed onto the underside of the car and held it steady until West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue arrived. First on the scene of a collision on the A1(M) this morning and faced with a vehicle balancing over the edge of a bridge with the driver trapped, said Willis on Twitter. After holding on to the vehicle to stop it swaying in the wind I cant begin to describe my relief when West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue arrived on scene. The driver was later taken to the hospital where his description was described as serious, but not life-threatening, according to the Independent. If Willis had not been on the scene, the drop off of the bridge may or may not have been fatal. Despite being called a hero after the incident, Willis says that he was simply doing what any other motorway officer would do. Police and coast guard officials searched the islet on Sunday. According to the sources, a TV, a motorbike, a refrigerator, a rice cooker and a power generator were found missing from a refuge hut. The hut had been locked, but it was broken into and its inside was disarranged. A wooden fishing boat with 10 North Korean men on board was found drifting in waters near the islet last Wednesday. The fishermen, who were later rescued by the coast guard, were seen dumping some home appliances into the sea from their boat. Japanese authorities found several home appliances, including a TV, from the boat while a coast guard patrol boat has collected some of the appliances thrown into the water. The coast guard said some solar power panels used to power a lighthouse on the islet were also missing. The North Korean crewmen have told the officials they left the port of Chongjin in northeastern North Korea in September for squid fishing in the Sea of Japan before the steering wheel failed around a month ago. The crewmen also said they temporarily took shelter on the islet due to bad weather, the coast guard said. The wooden boat was towed into a port outside Hakodate in Hokkaido on Sunday for inspection by police and the coast guard. The officials are also questioning the crewmen. In Tokyo, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga, the top government spokesman, said he would like to "refrain from commenting (on the discovery of missing items on the islet) with prejudgments as investigations are ongoing." According to police, Shunsuke Honma has admitted to the charge and quoted him as saying he was drunk and couldnt be bothered to go home on a crowded subway train, Fuji TV reported. He also said he didnt have enough money for a taxi. Police said the incident occurred just before 8 a.m. on the morning of July 28 in Roppongi, Minato Ward. Honma, who lives in Edogawa Ward and works in a Roppongi bar, told police he was drinking up until around 6 a.m. Rather than try to get on the subway during rush hour, he spotted a parked garbage truck. The driver was behind the truck as garbage was being loaded. Honma got in and drove for about three kilometers to JR Shimbashi Station where he abandoned the truck. Before he stole the truck, Honma was seen on street surveillance camera footage trying to open the doors of cars in a parking lot. He also asked the driver of another garbage truck if he could give him a lift as far as Kachidoki in Chuo Ward.
