Oh nothing overt like that really. They never even really seemed...malicious, I don't think.

But that kind of makes the unease worse. It's like in a game when you hear the battle music and it's like s*** I don't need this right now, but then you don't even see an enemy anywhere.

Actually, like, the feeling I got from this presence, it's extremely hard, extremely, to explain. It's not just like "oh that's scary"

It's, well what I came up with to TRY and sort of explain it, is: imagine you...live a life, or maybe just keep having this dream, where the same day loops, forever. And at one point in this ever-looping day, when you're navigating through a crowd of people to then cross the street where another bunch of people all just focused on going about their day are...and though they all would normally seem like faceless strangers to somebody, since this day has looped for as long as you know, you actually are quite familiar with it all. And one day, after you cross the street, you look back to the side you came from, and see someone just standing there motionless, that you didn't notice when you were there, and don't recognise, and they're just staring at you, with an expression that does not really reveal any clear emotion or intent.

Have you tried talking to it? I've heard that when in sleep paralysis you shouldn't panic when you see some type of monster or being since it will probably make the situation worse and make it harder to move. I heard that the best thing to do was to relax and try to make small talk with them or something.

I once tried practicing lucid dreaming in the middle of the day by lying in bed with my eyes closed and without moving. After the hard part was over I managed to actually start having a lucid dream. In the dream I was lying on my bed in my room except I was under sleep paralysis. When I looked to my left (with my eyes, not my head) I saw a green witch with a sleeveless dress and covered in web tattoos. She was laughing at me. I was startled but I tried to relax and use that advice I learned. I asked her to quit laughing and help. I said it in a tone you'd use when a friend is annoying you. After that she grabbed my left arm and started tugging while laughing. It helped me get some movement from my left arm and some of the upper left side of my body. She kept tugging back and forth to get the rest of my body moving again, but before that happened I woke up.

I have always had a very overactive imagination, and a very unfulfilling life.

So, I've had quite a lot of interesting experiences in dreams.

But also a lot of bad. Nightmares and worse throughout childhood, to a traumatic, life-affecting degree.

Sleep paralysis. Lucid dreams...all over the place.

I've not continued a dream in a later dream. Not that I recall. I do have, however, many recurring locations in dreams, that exist with some degree of consistency within dreams, and can appear in multiple different dreams as a coherent location. A location that isn't real, but is in the dream.

I also have a...something. I was documenting my dreams for a time. For a long time, and I noticed a seeming pattern in it. A character who felt familiar, otherworldly, dangerous. I went through searching my dreams I documented, and discovered I had said and felt the same thing, many times in different dreams. I just kept encountering this presence in dreams. Each time they had a different form, yet every time, I just KNEW it was "them" but I don't know who it truly is. I just recognise that presence.

You know how in dreams you sometimes can just KNOW something, without consciously knowing how, or why? It was like that. I just knew it was them again. Unfortunately, I also just somehow knew other things, like fear. A lot of fear for this entity, again, I don't know why. Something about them caused an extreme unease, but what struck me as especially strange, is other characters in dreams they showed up in, seemed to feel that unease a hell of a lot more intensely than I did.

This entity seemed sourceless. I mean what could they even be based on when their form is not consistent? The only consistency, was the feeling, and the power they had in the dreams seemed well beyond transcendent.

When I lucid dream, I don't know if this is how it works for everyone, but for me, when I become lucid in a dream, everything stops/goes away. Basically I'd have to consciously focus on something to make it keep existing/doing whatever it's doing. I once became lucid in a dream with this entity. I even told them, "this is a dream" and they said, "I know"

And after that dream, when I was documenting it, I noticed that when I was lucid, sure enough, everything stopped in the dream, but this entity never did. They were entirely unaffected.

There's more to it but honestly it's pretty silly but, it also went to an extreme enough extent that I don't think there's an explanation for what this entity truly is that isn't...disturbing.
