That isnt a good business plan.

It's good publicity, a trivial amount of free credit, and remember, there are only so many trophies per game. And, significantly, 0-1 platinums. So it can encourage buying new games (although I'd like to see the people who have completed anywhere near the games they own).

Also, this uses the same site as the rewards for buying stuff on PSN. It's like 1% back for that. I guess I don't buy as much anymore since I haven't used it in a while, but that site worked within reason. The lowest values of gift cards were sold out a lot and it was down sometimes. On the upside, you can pay the difference in value to get a gift card.
