Probably since the prequels, at least from what I've seen. I haven't seen ROTJ get slagged the way it does since people would bring it up to defend the prequels in a "whataboutism" way. "Well, yeah TPM had Jar Jar, but the Ewoks!". I remember everyone loving ROTJ before that. Everyone used to talk about how awesome the final space battle and the Luke/Vader/Palpatine fight were. Now people just bring up the Ewoks.

ESB > ROTJ = ANH > TFA > RO > ROTS > TPM > TCW

Haven't seen 8 yet and probably won't from what I've heard about it. I only thought TFA was ok and didn't really care for RO.

Probably the last film of his that I like. Me and my best friend quote it sometimes even. Still, you can see hints of what Sandler's movies eventually become because it has some dumb stuff too.

After Anger Management (which has it's moments, mostly because of Jack Nicholson) I pretty much started disliking his movies. It's a shame that he became so lazy. Even in the more current movies that I've seen there might be a joke or two that might be pretty funny or clever, but it's surrounded by lazy and really dumb comedy.

I never got the "Kessel Run" thing. When Han mentions it in A New Hope it seemed like he was making up some BS just to boast. I mean, a parsec is a unit of distance instead of time. Sure, fans and EU writers make excuses for it, but that's just to make what Han said make some sort of sense. I mean, Obi Wan gives him a "Yeah, sure pal" kind of look after he says that like he knows he's BSing.

Like the other recent SW movies, it's just going to be full of winks and references and every single thing we know about Han's past will be explained right then and there. Years worth of experiences compressed into a short time frame.

They want it to be a partisan issue because the politicians are bribed by those in the private prison industry. Also, it appeals to certain ignorant voters who want more "tough on crime" approaches to law enforcement.

Then there's the Big Pharma industry who also bribe politicians because legalized weed means less money for them. Notice that not much is being done about the current opiate epidemic in America as opposed to marijuana.

A campaign similar to the one against EA should have been created to fight Take Two's and Rockstar's obvious mistreatment of their customers. It's a shame that they will still be rewarded for constantly squeezing money out of their consumers with microtransactions.

TT's CEO thinks that even more can be done to fuck over their customers. People joke about railroad bonds and horses that cost 40 bucks, but that's what's going to happen and it's a shame that fans will keep letting Take Two and Rockstar give it to them up the ass.

This is a trap a lot of writers fall into. Everything must be connected. Characters end up knowing each other and had a past experience(s) together (which will come from out of nowhere and not make sense) or might be related to each other or someone will make a story that is connected to the plot of another story. It's a cheap way to make their own stories feel more important due to the connection to a better one.

Lucas did it and various EU writers did it too. It ends up making the whole world of Star Wars a lot smaller... and lamer. Rogue One is kind of in that boat as well. Instead of a whole new story, they just told one that's connected to the OT and really didn't need to be told.

Vader wasn't that bad a guy. Han shot at him and yet Vader still invited him to dinner. Boba Fett was cool before all these writers and George Lucas decided to give him a backstory. Part of his cool factor was him being mysterious.
