Ah, makes sense. I knew about the four seasons but I figured they might have a more staggered release throughout it so something new was always coming on. Most on Crunchyroll are at episode nine but I was looking at another new one that's only at episode two.

Anyway, yeah, I'm an anime newbie. I'm looking forward to getting in on the ground floor with a new season in January, though!

The Lightning crew around here likes Love Live so you should give that a try.

Nier Automata Ending A get and now made it to opening the crater in the city ruins on my second playthrough. Ugh, hacking 100 times is going to be an annoying trophy because I don't find it very fun, especially if they only count if you blow up the enemy. Gotta use it though because it just destroys enemies that have HP bars that never drop, like those golden enemies. With the stun chip it feels even more OP.

About the ending, it was really unsatisfying that it happened right when things started to get going. Probably intentional to make you immediately jump into the next playthrough, since they clearly tell you there's a lot more to it. I still didn't get what the whole point was and I have no idea if suddenly seeing 2B without the blindfold was supposed to be exciting. As for combat, I stuck with small sword for light weapon and spear for heavy weapon. Tried other stuff, but what I loved about this setup was that following up with a spear attack after a sword combo would track down enemies. I had to use that because it seemed like enemies could too easily get away from your combos. Oh and I only had two pods, which I mostly kept with Spear and Blade by the end of the game. Being using Mirage and Wave on the new playthrough. One flaw however is that combat can easily devolve to just spamming dash attacks. They're really strong and safe.
