I was pretty surprised at how much this game felt like the Subspace Emissary mode in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It almost makes me want to go back and replay that.

Yeah it's fine. I think it's interesting to read thoughts regardless of how I feel about the individual reviewers enthusiasm for the list. Hoping to get some good recommendations out of this in the end without needing to watch all like 10 movies on the list I haven't watched to do so.

Don't get me wrong, however. I love watching movies. I've seen way too many in my lifetime. I just think that as a contributor for this particular list, you're getting less value out of my thoughts than on other lists. For me, it's like "Do I hate JCVD?" Nah. "Do I like JCVD?" Nah. But I would actually say that I rated another actor's films higher on this list than JCVD and I much prefer JCVD to that actor. I think my issue is that JCVD didn't pick great scripts that played to his particular strengths. As much as I'm not a member of the Chan Clan, he knew how to play to his strengths.

But, like, as filmgoer, I'd rather watch Jason Statham than everyone on this list. Give me a Tom Hardy.

I wouldn't call myself a fan of the genre, really. But in the genre, I thought the writing was way worse in Bloodsport. And, again, I find it way easier to forgive what feels like bad writing in an Eastern film than a Western film. This list isn't my bailiwick really. I feel that as a reviewer, I have certain genres and even mediums where I am knowledgeable and can have a certainly level of objectivity for the products I judge. This list is not necessarily one of those, and you're getting gut reactions.

I think JCVD is a bad actor, but the particular JCVD films we watched were just the height of bad writing. I have an easier time forgiving "bad writing" in the eastern films we watched as I can blame a cultural barrier on a lot of the issues. I'm honestly not a fan of Jackie Chan's acting either.

If I was putting this together, I would try to poke around what is being established in the Shadow of Mordor series; you can push further back in time beyond Talion's storyline but still stay within the bounds of a somewhat modern Middle-Earth.

They were booked worse for sure, but they absolutely deserved to be booked worse. They had declined in skill from their previous run, they were pains to work with behind-the-scenes, they had drug problems... just a total package, and not the Luger kind.

I guarantee you that Cry for Justice actually plays well as a movie. It plays terribly as a comic; but the over the top machismo of Hal would be freaking hilarious on screen. It would be the Expendables but with superheroes.
