Because no one wanted to do that, I was able to get an answer. I'm sad to see what has become of my little board, but all good things come to and end. It's a real shame. You girls were making me feel so safe and loved in my topic about my mother on there. This is the exact opposite of what I need during this trying time in my life. I removed everyone from the board, not just the ones who didn't agree. I was thinking of doing that anyway. I really wish this didn't drag on here because it just makes things worse. I never wanted this to happen, but maybe it's better this way. I tried my best, that's enough for me. --- |

A coworker/friend came to visit me to console me about this, but apparently I was rude to her because she thought I was insulting her for having parents. I wasn't and was probably just expressing how lucky I felt she was or how unfair my circumstances are. Instead of telling me, she bitched about it to one of our other coworkers and the other coworker just told me how upset she was. I'm grieving and my emotions are erratic. If I said anything rude, it wasn't intentional and she just took it the worst possible way. That makes me apprehensive to confide in friends now. They just don't understand, how could they? I tried to get in through my bedroom windows since I always keep them unlocked in case this happens, but those were frozen shut, too. I hid in the laundry room of my building since it's always heated, but I couldn't do that forever. I tried calling the fire department, but they weren't answering. I tried calling the police, but they said they didn't have the authority to break down the door since I didn't own the property. Finally, I found an empty detergent bottle in the laundry room and filled it with hot water from the sink and tried pouring it on my window and the door, but that didn't work and only made things worse once that water froze. I was able to get my fingers just barely under my one window, but couldn't get it open. I went to my car and took out this giant screwdriver I had in the glove compartment and with a lot of force, I was able to pop open my one window and dove into it, landing on my bed. But what would have happened if I couldn't do that? I would have been stuck outside my apartment with nowhere to go and I don't have enough money to stay in a motel. Oh mommy, why did you leave me? I still need you... --- |

She got me a sequin pillow that adjusts to two colors depending which way the sequins are facing, a key chain, a mint tin with my name on it in the style of a Pennsylvania license plate, a reversible charging cable compatible with Android and iPhone, and an iPod Shuffle with my name engraved on the back. I'll treasure them forever... because they're the last Christmas gifts I'll ever get from her. --- |
