I also didn't like being unable to just order something and have it made to a standard recipe. If I'm gonna stand there and spell out what I want on my sandwich, I'd rather just make the fucker myself. Anyway, I had a coupon, so I figured what the hell. They didn't take my coupon, it was the wrong color or some shit. I had the reuben. It wasn't completely awful, but not worth anywhere near $9.65. For that price I can buy a pair of subs from the gas station, and they taste better. Unless the fates conspire against me, that will likely be my last visit to Subway. |

| Red_Frog 12/13/17 7:42:35 PM #20 | My favorite up to this point has been the Razer eXactMat style. It's an aluminum slab with rough and smooth textured surfaces on each side. They've been discontinued, but you may still be able to find Best Buy's Rocketfish branded knockoffs. Slightly differently shaped than the Razer, but they're the same stuff. I believe the Roccat Alumic was also mostly the same and substantially larger, but I haven't owned one of those. I did have one issue with them. I have a Lachesis 5600 that refuses to track on the surface, although it reads the exposed aluminum fine and works on all my other aluminum pads. May be just an oddity between that specific laser and surface, I haven't run into it before or since. |

When a movie gets remade, everything gets fucked up. |

SEGA also made a couple named Arcade Power Stick for the Genesis, while the SNES got the Score Master and Super Advantage. |

If you consider reserves, Coast Guard becomes an option but Marines is still out of reach without prior service. |

| Red_Frog 11/27/17 5:36:04 PM #4 | Well, mostly it's because, as you stated, other technologies were rapidly developing that were simply cheaper, faster and more easily used especially with regard to USB drives and CDs. I had a few Zip drives, actually wanted an Orb drive but never managed to get one. They were pretty great at a time when CD writers were actually still prohibitively expensive. Iomega attempted to stay in the market later on pushing their branded external CD writers, but I think they tried too long to hold on to their magnetic media niche and IIRC were absorbed by Lenovo about 5 years ago. |

There were also the Castlewood Orb drives, larger and faster than the Iomegas but had reliability issues. SuperDisk was also around for a while, and the drives were backward compatible with standard floppies. |
