The reality that progressives literally cannot fathom without crying is that some problems are never going to be solved. Children are going to get murdered at a higher rate in the US than other developed nations because we have a constitutional right and cultural predilection for guns here. If it matters that much to not live in a society like this, you are better off leaving than trying to "fix" it.

While internally we were told that the numbers for Mixed Match Challenge were a disappointment, they portrayed it on the conference call as a big success.

Perhaps the most incredible stat is that while there were six million viewers over the first four weeks, there were only 12 million minutes of total viewing. That means the average viewer only watched for two minutes.

That is an amazing statistic because people look at the 1.7 million viewers and compare it with Raw and Smackdown and think its a success. In actuality, an episode of Raw that does 3 million viewers means that is the average number of viewers over the three hours.

For a 20 minute episode of mixed match challenge, based on 12 million minutes viewers over four weeks, if it was measured like television ratings, it would be about 150,000 viewers for an average minute per episode thus far, or roughly half of TNA, well under half of ROH and well below New Japan Pro Wrestling, and in line with Lucha Underground even though it is available in considerably more homes.

But even that figure is notable. For every Dave Meltzer who watched 20 minutes plus, to get a two minute average, you need 19 other people watching an average of one minute or less to convert to your two minute per viewer average. So if five percent actually watch the show in full, the other 95 percent are meaningless viewers, clicking on and clicking out in a minute, meaning they have a few seconds of curiosity to click, but no real interest or investment in the show. Anything that is storyline or selling the product related is seen by only a tiny percentage of the actual viewers.

There have been countless regulatory trial runs on the state and local levels that have objectively failed at reducing gun violence. There have literally been no unique solutions offered on the federal level in decades.

It's not really that weird. WWE heavily encourages it

- PPV quality, in hype, on paper, and in execution, varies wildly
- You're actively incentivized to NOT have an active subscription as they spam the hell out of free offers when you're not a subscriber.

It is kinda cool though because you can sort of take a reasonable stab at the ceiling of the Network from a subscriber perspective if every PPV was must see.

I just meant its incredible compared to, like, every other streaming service where 20% churn is significantly high
