I admit if a bigot just died, I wouldn't really care at all either. But it is the "being pushed into suicide" that irks me. I don't think anyone should be made to suffer that badly, even if they spew out hate themselves. All it does is make us hateful people doing the exact same thing we complain is being done to us, so are we any better in the end? We complain that people harass us (LGBT community) and constantly push the point of how many of are ostracized and commit suicide over it, so when we are indifferent to someone else who does it... I just don't know. It is easy to dismiss people over their views and relegate them to unimportant - just like is done to us. I don't want to perpetuate it myself if I can help it. --- |
