ehh... i'm not sure the dagger really benefits Rem that much. but i guess it depends on what TMR you got. i would lose benefits from:

Dark Fina's TMR (+50% MAG w/robe + rod, +20% if just robe)
Rod Mastery (+50% MAG)
the extra 60+ or so MAG rods give
if you lack the former, Veritas of Water's TMR can give you +40% to MAG for a Rod too.

in exchange for that, i free up a DW slot. so i'd need to go +30% x3 to hit +90% and i'd still be with lower MAG.

it's useful but not game changing. it just frees up your rod based TMR for other mages.

see, i can't just be "against cyber bullying" because most cases that people would want to point to aren't something that should have anything attributed to it. if you're talking specific, targeted harassment - bearing in mind that harassment by definition demonstrates repeated action - we can talk. but most who would want to say that do not prove anything specifically targeted, they do not prove anything as harassment. that guy who mentioned the cyanide pill? if that's all he tweeted at her, he didn't commit harassment. he committed to saying a terrible thing and deserves to be catching shit for it but that's about it. generally speaking, "cyber bullying" is multiple people talking about you with most of the discussion not even at you, meaning you have to go out of your way to see it. these people range from those you know to those you couldn't guess a letter in their name. the person getting all that may see a wave but there is no one individual there responsible for it. another part of harassment that matters: individual people harass. not a group. if that difference isn't understood, the argument will not make any sense as you ultimately will be targeting individuals and acting like it's a group means you're attacking people who didn't do anything.

unless you can narrow down "cyber bullying" to a very strict meaning, i can't "just be" against it. assigning a legal consequence is just way more harmful and frankly illogical in any of its broader definitions.

i don't think that can really be tracked because of 1) how promiscuous gay men tend to be on average, and 2) the number of men who've had gay sex but wouldn't say they're gay or bi.

that's playing with a couple years' different numbers so i wouldn't say this is ironclad but it's pretty reliable numbers to play with and they don't seem to be that different.

there are 4.1% of people who identify as LGBT. if we make it just people between 19-37 it goes up to 7.3%. that's men and women, of which women generally identify more of. the other numbers in there you see that may be confusing are the 3.7% of men reporting and 4.4% of women reporting but at the end of the day for these purposes it doesn't matter - the population of gay guys is pretty tiny. you're looking at single digit millions.

despite that, gay and bi men are responsible for 67% of all new HIV infections.

that's everyone who got a new infection. men, women, straight, gay, out of everyone, they made up 67% of that.

personally i'd like more info first. was this the straw that broke the camel's back? did something else happen after this to prompt it? was it a specific person or action that way bigger than the rest? we don't know the circumstances of her suicide and simply blaming it on mean/offensive twitter comments seems like an easy way to not actually get into what was going on. having a bunch of people doing 'go kill yourself' comments isn't going to make a reasonable person actually do it, something else made her become unreasonable. 100 random dudes ain't gonna matter as much as 1 business partner, 1 good friend, or 1 close family member - especially during the holidays. if you want to hold someone accountable, you first need to know the situation so you can determine who could be accountable.

like yes, it's 100% wrong to reject her choice to not fuck a dude. you can choose who to have/not have sex with for any reason, full stop. that entire train of thought 100% deserves to be mocked mercilessly, it's completely antithetical to the idea of supporting women's choices. similarly, the people who told her to kill herself absolutely deserve to have that flung back at their faces. not because they're responsible for her death (either morally or legally) but because they were being terrible people. it was their choice to use those words, they felt self-righteous when they did so, and if the only reason they're feeling bad is because she actually did it? fuck 'em, that's still a terrible person. that's just somebody feeling bad because they got caught being a shit, not somebody understanding that they are a shit. only way to know which one a person will fall to is by throwing it in their face.

in this case the tragedy supposedly begins with politics, that's the source behind her getting bullied in the first place. this is assuming that's the cause and that everything else is true, we don't know the reason for her death yet. this just immediately took the reins as "THIS IS WHY SHE KILLED HERSELF" as the story blew up. assuming you believe this played a major enough factor, politics is all around this one: it's the exact opposite of a guy killing himself because he was shamed and bullied over his desire to fuck a dude. that would also be political to start.

nah, if you tell someone to go kill themselves, charging them with manslaughter is way, way too harsh. it's obviously rude and insulting but shouldn't be illegal, that's crossing a different line. it's one thing to purposefully, continuously instigate and convince someone into doing it with the clear explicit knowledge that they actually are doing it. the girl who did that got hit with manslaughter, though a very short sentence. that's a very, very different situation from what would just be people saying rude, offensive things in a brief moment. that should never be illegal.

well... yeah, i'd get her point there. condoms don't prevent all STDs and the one to worry about the most, HIV, is ridiculously common among gay/bi men. as in, over 2/3 of all new HIV infections come from gay and bi men. if they ain't getting tested even more it makes sense why she's uncomfortable, which is more than enough for her to say no.

Rainbow Robe from Marie will give +30%, though there's plenty of armors out there that'll give +50%.
Ifrit will give +50% too, getting people to +100% fire res has been one of the easier things to do. so assuming one of the 50% armors is good enough...

dragon helm gives an additional 20% res.
Marie's Barfiraga/Minfilia's Flame Guard does +70% res.

just gotta fit 10% more, either by accessory or materia. clearest examples are Minfilia's TMR - which was pretty much free - which gives +10% res to all elements and Garnet's TMR, which is +20% to all elements.

don't have anyone to really grail right now. i think i've got Heracles on bond level 6, maybe soon 7, he's a decent option to consider if i ever get him to 10. though... i've got Vlad and Sakata. considering i've got Waver and Jeanne, i could make an Arts team with the former. the latter, well, i've got plenty of busters and Waver. it's just that Heracles is so much less squishy.

that was a really good episode. seeing Gohan step up the way he did to finally show that he's way, way stronger than he's put on so far was awesome. Piccolo's internal struggle with the fight over his own race, the way Gohan straight up protected him, the android pair having a ton of fun by playing along, we had a really nice set of the cast actually doing something and got to fit in the way 2 and 6 are. wish they were all that packed.

yeah, right now the main thing is rolling for those mana prisms. i got the ticket early but it doesn't matter as much as those things do, getting 20 of 'em for doing battles i'm going to grind for anyway is a nice way to rack 'em up.

works for getting EXP cards too, which is great because i need them for Jack.
and i assigned support units with items! though i don't know how the friend unit system works in this game, i thought it was just the first unit in your party.

let's use Noctis as an example: should i disable battle animations in the menu, he raises his hand and the ability goes off. should i use warp attack, he goes through the basic attack animation from auto-attack.

i considered that one, though still went with the original because:

1) KH 2.5 is 60 FPS on either one
2) most of KH 2.8 is 60 FPS, exception being the 0.2, which is basically more like 50-60 FPS
3) i fully expect KH3 to hit PC, where it'll be better, and i can wait the extra year that'd take.

i just caved on my PS4 desire earlier because i could handle a not-Pro as most games enhanced by it i also would just have on PC.

my interest in stuff like Bloodborne, Infamous, and Uncharted is pretty low; my interest in The Last Guardian is pretty non-existent. when i break down why i want a PS4 it ends up being games that wouldn't have much difference and there's nothing really there in the future on that.
