| Joelypoely 01/19/18 2:30:55 AM #9 | If you really, really can't stand spiders or snakes the best strategy is to visit Aus in winter and stick to roughly the south-east of the country. In the month I spent travelling there fairly recently I only saw some medium-sized golden orbs and wolf spiders up in Queensland, pretty harmless if you leave them alone (although their fricking ants will bite you, much more annoying!). I wouldn't want to live in the outback for an extended period of time though, that's often where the big ones lurk. Redbacks are pretty easy to avoid but apparently funnel webs can be quite aggressive? --- |
