Supposedly the only real way you can get a Wii remote to work flawlessly with a PC is to make your own bluetooth adapter using the native chip from the Wii itself.

I was trying to take a bluetooth module from a Wii and solder it to a USB connector to use on my pc. A couple of the pins had to be powered by a 3.3v source, and two AA batteries should have worked. I just don't know what went wrong. When I connected the USB Windows didn't even recognize anything as plugged in.

It was either

I fried the chip by getting it too hot with the iron
My power supply wasn't working (I didn't connect anything to the ground side of the AA batteries, idk if that's "allowed", the chip has it's own ground pin out I connected to the USB. That or my rechargable batteries are too iffy)
I didn't keep the wires clean enough to make good enough contact (some of the wires I had burned the rubber off, probably a big no no)
I broke the chip when I had to use a decent amount of force to unplug it from the Wii (I used pliers)
I shorted some of the pins (I couldn't really tell, but it's sloppy)
Windows decided it was having a bad day and decided not to work

I have a second Wii I can take another chip from and try again tomorrow. I can give it another shot then. Until then I am just feeling like a lousy handiman. Also a console killer. These things take a lot of patience and I'm not a patient person.

I'm glad there are people like Icoyar successfully keeping terminally ill people from pulling their own plugs and instead dying in complete agony for a good slow month or week or so.

There's no magic bullet. Anxious/upset kids need to relax. Angry kids need to be put in their place. Mischevious kids need to understand why they need to do what they need to do. Respect is a two-way street and if they don't like you they'll probably just give you a hard time.

Other than that, all you have to do is make the consequences of not listening to you bad enough that they outweigh the good of not listening to you. Being her brother, I imagine you have literally none of that.

Also, don't shoot what you can't kill. If you can't get a kid to do something, don't tell them to do it. Otherwise, you'll be perceived as inconsequential and easy.

I came up with a ton of cool Pokemon combos and even made an impact on the meta, but at the end of the day it was ruined by netdecking. Brainless scrubs were whooping me with net-teams while I was handicapping myself innovating.

And they always ragequit. Not surprised to hear people have the nerve to do it in real life.

Also their bans were annoying and they had no idea what they were doing. People generally fail when understanding how RNG works, but I digress.

Yeah it really is. When we bought Magic cards from the comic store the guy was really trying to sell us on visiting the weekly gatherings. Obviously because he wants to make a loyal customer out of us and keep his gatherings popular, but also probably because he was probably freaking out internally about a girl possibly joining.

If you compare how expensive this is with something like Hearthstone, Hearthstone is not worth it at all. In HS I can't even share my collection.
