I have seen enough shitty ads overrun my phone to know that I don't have any reason to believe the people who run websites actually have any idea of the kind of schlock they allow to be advertised on their site and the methods used to deliver those ads to the viewer. It still worked so it was odd that they said toss it and so I just traded it in at an insane value to feasibly get an iPhone 7 Plus (I proceeded to fuck this up and ruin my trade deal but that's neither here nor there; I can probably avoid that this time by being smart). So doing this has now made it possible for me to upgrade every year, as my old phone will go out of style as soon as the next model launches. My dad gets to use the previous model (which is basically backwards to how it works in most families).
