I waited for Panzer Dragoon Orta in part because after seeing how good Ninja Gaiden looked, I figured they could follow suit. I liked the music and the specific level designs. While they devoted cutscene time for the story I wish that Sega had pushed more for the series.

I made one of my stupidest gaming purchases of recent memory today and pre-ordered Dragon Ball FighterZ. Love to buy fighting games based on an anime I haven't watched in 15 years that I can't even play online because my NAT type is bad. But it looks cool!

They've made many of them. Halo Wars 2 came out recently. Its not approaching call of duty nonsense, but its just that everyone has basically been too familiar with Halo's universe now. DVD's, comic books, conventions, spin off games, advertising, all the media marketing, roosterteeth, toys, etc.

The popularity has waned somewhat, but any videogame that can have two real life people find love and get married is pretty cool.
