Realistically though, probably has something to do with everyone else having an innate ability and him wanting to fit in. Being a weapons manufacturer in and of itself is not a superpower. Took my Vita to my gf's friends 30th birthday. Don't know these people, don't really care to know these people.

Said hi to the friend, ate some food, had a drink, an hour later I was gaming.

People came by to "check on me", I put the Vita down and made conversation. When they were done they left and I kept playing.

If people want to judge you for being yourself and doing what makes you happy, fuck 'em.

I think it's a mix of things: I prefer physical copies of things I buy as they are "mine" and also vastly more portable if I want to take it somewhere, also resellable if necessary. Possibly a carryover from my youth (I've been gaming on consoles since I was like 4, just the way I do it). Already have my setup the way I like it (a shitty reason, as I could easily rearrange things and game on PC). KBM is nice sometimes, but I like the feel of a controller (again, easily corrected with a purchase of another controller/adapter).

Just set in my ways I guess.

Also am a victim of that bullshit trophy/achievement shit and I get a sense of... I guess for lack of a better word, "purpose", for completing a list of tasks. And as I have my task list/meaningless reward system attached to PSN (was Xbox before with 360 but I was able to cut the cord from that), I'd rather play a game within that system.

I realize it's irrational and meaningless, but here we are.
