The weird thing is that the show was highly recommended to me because I made a topic about how I love "against all odds making the impossible possible" stories and characters who never give up no matter how bad it gets

In fairness I myself don't especially like Gurren Lagann and would have recommended it to you in less than a second based on this.

Also this is the first time I've ever even heard of an IPA, but it looks like it is a type of beer which means there is a near 100% chance I think it tastes awful beyond any redemption.

I didn't drink coffee at all until a bit over a year ago, and it has now become my lifeblood. I actually rather like the taste (I just drink black) though it's not impossible this is some kind of Stockholm Syndrome at work or something.

To answer the question though, no I don't really think it's weird. Plenty of people don't like coffee.

Building off of what I said above, I'd actually say that this matches my thoughts up until chapter 2. For a while I was a bit scared exactly how this was going to be handled though.

Ruan is best town, but I feel like the story content in FC pretty much only gets better as it goes on. I do love Jenis Royal Academy though. Also if I remember right this is where we got a pretty big chunk of the Estelle/Joshua development, so that's also great.

Really I just love everything about this series.

Ok I already posted about this in the anime topic, but I just want to say today I watched A Silent Voice and it was amazing. Highly recommended to...well...pretty much any fan of drama anime.

I admit I never really got his taste pinned down, but this feels to me like it might be a Jeff Zero movie actually. Not that he'll ever read this topic to see that though :(

I also saw it in the theater, but I don't remember subs being at the top of the screen. It might have happened briefly for one scene, but I know I never had trouble reading them.

A Silent Voice is perfect in every way, but the subtitles were less so. I hear the dub isn't ready, which I can barely accept, but they were also fairly low quality subs.

I didn't have any problem with the subs other than when they typo'd "It's all my fault!" as "it's all my vault!" Rather poor timing for something like that.

Just got back from watching A Silent Voice.

Not gonna lie that movie was fantastic. Definitely heard some people crying in the theater and I might or might not have been one of them... Ok fine I was. Though not audibly so at least ;_;. As is a running theme with movies, the only thing I would complain about is that it could have used more screentime, but in this case it's less "something felt lacking" and more "but there's so much more they could have done on top of what they already did!" Really loved just about everything this had to offer though. I feel like it portrayed the concept in a much less preachy and more realistic way than I was expecting, which I suppose is actually somewhat fitting given what the movie is going for. Anyways I'm rambling at this point but yeah, I highly recommend watching this when/if you can.

Also just wanna say Shouya's mom is a champion the way she handles all the shit in this movie. Best mom in anime confirmed.

Yeah I was referring to a male character from Hunter x Hunter who both looks like a girl and is voiced by the most feminine Japanese voice actor I know of. (Don't think you've seen anything with her though unless you watched the subbed version of either Angel Beats or Psycho Pass)

With a bit more polished play there I think Nick coulda won both those games :O

Game 1 sure, but I don't think I agree on game 2 since he doesn't have a good way to deal with Sceptile. If he tries to keep Flareon alive by using Flare Blitz instead of Superpower than he dies to recoil anyways. I don't quite think it's impossible, but at least I don't think Nick was in an advantageous position at any point during game 2.
